Welcome, Lisa. Glad to have you with us. My son is also stationed at Oceana. He is a SK working in the Air Supply warehouse. Hopefully, it will be much warmer when your son gets there. My son has been there since Dec 5, and they've had a very cold winter, but should be almost over. He's been told that he will love Virginia Beach in the summer. Sounds like your son will be arriving at just about the right time.

Tiffany,

I hope you are feeling better. I agree with other posts, talkings things thru with a third party, is sound advice. The first few years of marriage can be difficult and with your husband new to the Navy, that adds even more stress. I'm assuming that he's still in "A" school? Maybe once he gets to a permanent duty station and you can join him as a family, things will settle down, and so will he. He still needs to provide for you financially, so be sure he's doing that. Its a military member's responsibility to provide for his/her family members. If he's providing good monetary support and doesn't have as much play money he won't be as attractive to other playmates. And you're not at all stupid. I wish you well.

Tiffany- I commented on your page, but I would say you two need to get together and talk things through(with a counselor or clergy person). It after giving that a try, and if it does not resolve things, then maybe you should move on. You can not fix this yourself. He needs to be willing to put some effort in too.

I have been in constant prayer and i dont know if i should be praying for God to reach my husbands heart and allow him to just open up his feelings to me. Apparently he has been having negative feelings for a long time but never once told me that anything i did bothered him so i feel like im paying for something i was never given an opportunity to resolve or fix. or should i be praying for God to release me from the love I have for my husband?

No you are not stupid! I know talking to the chaplin might cause him drama but my opinion is to go for it. It seems your family life is already drama filled so why not fight for your family? Get the higher powers involved....and I mean God.

Hi everyone! My son is in P'cola right now. He graduated his A-school on Friday of next week and then will be in Oceana, VA by March 18th. He is a AD or AM which is Aviation Machinist. He is going to be working as a squandron with the Hornets, F18 Jets, and the ship, USS Lincoln.

Thanks Candy, I did finally go to work today and it was horrible. I was so dazed and confused thank god i have a great boss! I have never been more confused in my life. On one side i feel like i am slowly dying inside and so hurt and the other side is he is my husband I vowed to love him and I stll do. before he got to A school everything was fine before the navy everything was fine. two years ago we went to vegas and got married and he wanted to have the big wedding with all the family and we are suppose to have our big day this June 27th I just got the save the dates today and just started crying my eyes out. I called the chaplains office in hopes someone could just go talk some sense into him but if I tell them what he did or if he tells he will get in so much trouble and I dont know if I am willing to do that. am I stupid?

Tiffany,

I'm so sorry. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you can be strong for yourself and your children. Surround yourself with friends and family. Keep yourself busy and make a life for you and your kids. They need you to be the adult in the household - I know you can do it. If you don't have a job, maybe that could help. Volunteer. Take a class. You are so worth it. Hugs to you.
