Well looks like were not going to be moving as soon as I thought! My husband just got a c school so we should be in Everett around the beginning of June. Anyone know much about the new housing they built there?

Good evening Navy parents, wives, gf's, etc.

Welcome Cindy. It's been a couple of day. We have been so busy! Mark & I celebrated our 10 anniversary Friday night. It was actually on Thursday, but he had to work.

I finally put my dad and son on Wal-Marts wall of heroes. I can't believe that there are only 4 on there, including the two I added. It was fun doing it. I had my granddaughter with me and she wrote a note telling her daddy she loves him ( with a little help) then drew a picture of me. :-)

I think it's wonderful that some of the restaurants are offering meals to the Vets and active duty troops.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. God bless all of you!

I'm glad to have your b/f moving in next door Nancy....he's a nice guy and will be a great neighbor (again, lol). Hope to see you more often!

Here is the New Tribune's article on Famous Daves and they are a nation wide chain:
Famous Dave's BBQ Restaurants is offering a free meal from their select menu for all active military and retired veterans with a military identification card on Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11.

The restaurants have five Western Washington locations including Puyallup, Tacoma, Tukwila, Silverdale and Everett.

Dee, my dog barks too, at most any noise she doesn't like. Guess thats dogs for ya. In case others are wondering. I am helping my boyfriend paint a house he is moving into. Dee just happens to be his new neighbor. Who woulda thunk it. It is a very small world indeed.

Famous Dave's is also giving vets and active duty a free meal on Wednesday. They have great BBQ, Anna, if you're not familiar with them - they're near the famous Olive Garden (as is Applebee's)...
Anna Comment by Anna on November 8, 2009 at 9:44pm
The Applebee's free offer is all over the country! Golden Corral is also giving free buffets on either Monday or Wednesday - I can't remember what day it was. I read it in the USA Today. Also Outback is giving free bloomin' onion appitizers. With me being in WA I told my husband if he played his cards right he could eat free Monday and Wednesday and only have to worry about the other 3 work days for his dinners!!!!

Is this for just Washington or Oregon also.

Thanks Angie and Barbara for the welcome. Angie that's what I always say, lol.
I have my brave face on and try not to think about how much I miss him. I am so glad for cell phones and the internet to keep in touch, thats the only saving grace. They are cruising around and will be back in time for Thanksgiving. Hoping he will be able to come home for Christmas or New Years. It has been a yes, no, yes, don't know. N4M hug.
