For anyone who has a Sailor in the Reserves. Lets talk...
My son is also a reservist and he is in A school now.
My son graduated BC 21 Aug and arrived in San Antonio last Tuesday. I have sent him his cell phone and it is so nice to be able to talke to him again!! It is also nice to have him back in Texas.
Going through A School at San Antonio?
Nathan arrived in San Antonio on Tuesday. I think his classes start on Monday. It's good to have him back in Texas.
Congrats to all the new Sailors today and to all the new Sailor Moms- it's a great promotion!!

JUST GOT MY CALL!! I'm so excited! I guess now I need to pull my head down from the sky and get a little work done today.

Kelley- Thanks for sharing your pictures. My son is also in Honor Guard. Not really sure if I picked out the right person to be my son. It's hard to recognize them when they have NO hair and goofy glasses! Just can't wait to get there!
I got a letter from my son today. He wrote the letter on Sunday (9 Aug) and he said "the rest of the week we will prepare for our next performance and Battle Stations, which will happen a week from today!" Hopefully, that means they go in Sunday e...

My son's name is Cody...I got a letter today dated the 28th. He didn't say much, just that he was thinking about the 21st...like we all are!!! Said they had 3 inspections and passed them all. He wants me to print out jokes on the computer and send them to him plus he wants a picture of our dogs. He says on of the SR's wants to see them. He gave a last name but I don't think we are supposed to use last names on here, are we??

My sons name is Justin.... So the Division they are in is a performace one huh, i didnt know that, he just said he got choisen, didnt know it was the whole division, that is great. Yes he as well has been in band his whole school life and he loves his music and instirments, so im glad to hear he got in a divison like that. As well i thought he would be doing alot of PT too cause i sent letter except one day and i cant help myself but to write him so he will be well fit.... when i write him it makes me feel like im talking to him and it helps me and then it sure makes my day when i get a letter from him too... I know about that box, shooo is was rank as well i washed it right away, i guess the box just traveled alot of places before it got home, lol
anyways i want to keep up with you so please stay in touch and i will get back with you soon... i got to go get ready for work but ill get back with you soon.... You take care and have a wonderful day......

Just thought i say hello and hope your doing ok... i got another letter from my son friday, i think our letters have crossed each other because these was dated for the 3nd and 5th.... but he said he is doing good and at the end he said to not to forget to write back but not to many letters because for every letter they get they have to do PT.... i said to myself oh boy i wrote him one everyday but Thur.... but i thought i share that with ya... I hope your doing good and Nathan too, i asked my son about Nathan but like i said the letter must of crossed cause in his letter he also said he hadnt got any letters yet, gosh i hope he get them by now....cause i sent about 5 or 6...

Veleda (CS Mom) said… - Hi Carol, I'm sorry it has taken me awhile to answer you, but I did infact recieve my form letter from Myron and the note on the bottom did my heart some good. He said that it was not what he expected. I don't know if that is a good thing or not. I am hoping it is good and that he is not regretting his decision to serve. He is my only son, so I think this will be good for him. To be around other young men and women who have made the same decisions for their lives. I have his picture as a screen saver on my cell, I look at it everyday and say, " Hang in there Bubbie, I will see you soon." He said that he has his first job and that he is the Master At Arms. I don't know what that is, but he sounded glad to have a job. My nerves have calmed down quite a bit since getting my form letter in the mail. I cried myself to sleep every night after I got the I'm here call. I want him home, but I know as a young man he needs this. And I can only pray that this will be good for him as well as me learning to let him go and grow....well have to end now gotta get back to work...ttyl

- i recived my sons box today, a sad moment.... its funny how boys are, he just shoved it all in a box.... lol
but it was still sad.. his phone was in his shoes, now that gets to me a little... but i have wrote him everyday so i will write that makes me feel better to write... i got my 3nd letter from him friday he made my weekend but i missed him on the 4th just wasnt the same :-(
