Corey mentioned your happy birthday to him through Jacob. I'm to tell you that he said thank you. He is pretty sure that he and Jacob are the youngest sailors on the ship. I kind of envy them being so young and experiencing such great things.
Even flying onto the ship Corey could not see how big it was so he is looking forward to going into port for the first time. Bet the look on his face will be priceless when he turns around. Holy ____!!!!!!! Ha Ha Ha...

Abby, My youngest did the same thing with phone calls almost everyday and even last deployment I got emails just about everyday. As a matter of fact if I didn't get an email I knew they were in port somewhere! This time I am not so sure, as he has a girlfriend now and he is adjusting fine. I think that first year for alot of them is the toughest being away from their families and friends. As soon as Jacob gets to know people he will adjust quickly. Tim still misses home, but he has enough to keep him busy in Cali. We live in NJ so it is not around the corner for us to get him here or us to him, but my vacations are visiting my kids when I can. I have another son in Virginia right now, but his ship will be in Cali next year too!
You are going to find that this site will be of great use to you once the ship deploys again. We can come together on here and kinds keep each other going during that time. You will be amazed at how fast that time goes!!!! Glad to have you here and with us on RR families too! Oh.. and ask questions ANY time!
