oorah, that was a different life. I was a Marine before joining the Navy. Both were great but the Navy offerred me more opportunity to do many different things, as your sons & daughters will find out.

Our new shipmate has gotten his cell phone & other "essentials". I heard they were going snipe hunting tonight after they find 10 yards of chow line....

I tried to send this as a group message, but I don't think that function works very well. If you've gotten it twice, please forgive me.
Please ask your son/daughter to look around at mail call and notice who's not getting letters. Our PIR group would like to "adopt" these recruits to let them know someone is thinking about them.
We'll need full names (which might be a problem because they use only last names) and ship/division.
Please either PM me through the website or send me an email at mrsmcgee@aol.com with the names. Do not post them in a public forum.
I will post a private blog and let you all know if there's any recruit in need.

I have posted June recruit birthdays on my blog page:
http://www.navyformoms.com/profiles/blog/show?id=1971797%3ABlogPost%3A215738

You have to be my "friend" to view it, so it's private.

If you get a chance, please drop a birthday card in the mail. These recruits will be SO surprised.
