Got a call ! things are well the have collected many flags . BS will be I think will be mothers day . gas chamber the end of the week he thinks ? There is a lot of static on the phone I only got half the info he was telling me.Loves his dress whites! ordered pictures for me . Wants Pictures of Dad And I .

Thanks Amber! I guess I just cross my fingers!!!!???? Kate will be going onto Hawaii, too. She was sent to korea, for immersion, which was pretty great, but, again, she's nervous about the break in schooling! I'm sure it will be fine!!!!

Isnt Monterrey beautiful. While we were there we went to big sur, SF and my fav Carmel. And what better excuse to go to hawaii than to visit your son. When you go to Hawaii make sure you stay at the Hali Koa ( sp) The military has a few 5 start hotels in the world and this one is in hawaii. It is so cheap.. for a 5 star.. your son will have to make your reservation and check you in.. but you will love it.

Hi Amber,
He came home for a little before he went to hawaii. We needed to pack up all his things to be shipped to hawaii.The Navy came and shipped it all.. the movers were great. Just make sure you itemize everything. How much longer will your son be there? When he does go to hawaii.. they will assign him someone that has been there awhile ( another Mandarin CTI) to show him around and act as a mentor the first week he is there. My son had someone do that for him and he has done it a few times for new sailors

Hi Amber,
My son is in his 4th year there. He is stationed a kuni ( SP..lol) It is north of pearl harbor. He and his wife went with private housing. They have a beautiful place they rent.. and it is all covered by the navy. Now if your son is single it may be different. I can ask my son. They have loved it there.. visited every island. But they have island fever now. And they are ready to come back home.

Thanks Amber! My son spent a year and a half at DLI learning Arabic and I visited him many times while he was there, so if you have any questions about the area or program there, I could probably answer quite a few. Whatever I don't know, I'm sure I could ask Jason. Best wishes to your Sailor! Sharon
