My son is in Ship 4 Div 803. His name is Jeff. We have a fantastic recuiter. My son wasn't even gone 36 hours before he was calling to let me know all about my son. From his address to his PIR date. My husband talked to him today as well after lunch.

My son is the same ship and Div. His name is Jeff. We will be driving up from Texas. I laughed about his comment that he put at the bottom. Is there anyone else driving up from Texas for the 15 Jan 10 PIR?

About me:
I'm too Blessed to be stressed, and too Anointed to be disappointed! I am a student that is going into the ministry as my second career. I have six daughters and one son. I am still married to my high school sweet heart and the love of my life. My son is the youngest. He is a very good guy. I am a VERY proud mom that looks forward to meeting other moms.
I am here to support or represent my:
Jeffery ( Boomer is his nickname)
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Waiting to leave for Boot Camp
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud, Was relieved, Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
I reared a good man, not a boy, and that he could think well for himself. That he can make his own choices and that they are the best ones for him.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

I've missed it here

I never thought that I would ever "jones" for the internet or a group of people. Well I have surprised myself yet again. We went with out internet for a while, and I felt like I had no idea what was going on in the outside world. I thought about all the other NFM's that I had met and prayed for all of our recruits and saliors but still missed everyone. Well I'm back, and glad to finally be here.

Wow, what wonderful women!

I had the best time today meeting so many Navy Mom's for lunch. I had no idea what expect. I had not met anyone yet, so I had no clue how smart, funny, and accepting they would be. I knew who Kate was right off ( she is extremly pretty). Then I had the good fortune to sit near Carol, Suzanne, and MeLinda. I learned and saw so much about both the Patricks and Joshua. These women were awesome. The talked fankly and honestly with me to let me know things to do and not to do with my boy as he leaves… Continue

Ms. Amy,
PRAYER NEEDED! Just read a story on military.com of one of our sailors who was lost at sea. He was in a "raft" type boat, when it over turned and 3 sailors went in the water. They were able to recover 2, but 1 sailor was lost and the search for him has been stopped. I just thought of his family and cried. Please lift them in prayer. Thanks.

Hello Amy, How is everything for you and your family? Is Boomer becoming more excited about leaving for BC? My son loved BC and in a way I think he hated to leave that environment for A-school. I remember the toughest part of Del being in BC was waiting to receive his first letter giving me his address for correspondence. I made sure to send off a letter or card every 2-3 days. He told me later how much he appreciated the attention and love while completing his BC. One bit of advice for Boomer, when he leaves for BC, everything that is in his possession will be mailed back to you, so travel light. I sent Del with his cell phone, jacket and of course his wallet. Blessings to you!

Are you up for another get-together? There will be one on March 21st at 1pm in Waco. I will drive my truck and we can car-pool. The event is posted on the event page. Let me know. Best wishes and prayers to Sailor Boomer.

Amy, Please hold up in prayer a mom who has not heard from her daughter yet. She is in Josie's group. We do not know if she passed. I hear that if you don't pass they will give you another try with another Division. Please ask God to bless her and help her to pass so she can graduate with her group and not have to be held back for a week. Mom is Barb J and daughter is Sarah. Blessings to you and family.

Thank you for the scripture verse. I am writing a letter to Josie for Jim to give to her and I'm going to send that to her. When she first went to boot camp (can you believe it's almost over) I started sending her scripture cards just to give her encouragement. She wrote back and said that she and some other girls would all read them and PRAY before going to bed. Josie is a seeker- to my knowledge she has not accepted Jesus yet, but I know He has her in His hands and I stand on His Word, that today Salvation will come to my house. I hope we get to meet again, Louise Keep writing.

Amy-- We have a Sailor in the House!! Just got word around 4:10 today. Josie called Jim as he is the one going to the graduation on Fri. I want to Thank you for all your prayers. Our God is GOOD!! First I give Him the Praise and then I thank Him for you!! You stayed up all night to ask God for favor on some one you don't even know. May God grant you many blessings. By the time your child goes for his battle station, we will be good friends. Your sister in Jesus. Louise

Hi, Amy. Thank you for understanding where I'm coming from. Your prayer is very much appreciated at this end. I welcome all the prayers I can get. I'm new to this and there is so much for me to learn. I'll have to get one of my sons to help me include pictures. Thank you again. God Bless you. -Isabel
