Profile Information

About me:
I am a true Navy Brat--both my parents were in the Navy--my mother up until she had me, and my father for 30 years, he was a radioman, taught for years at Navel Training Center in San Diego and during the Vietnam war was a River patrolman, his father was in WWII and was a Seebee, my mom's brother also served in the war as a Seebee. My son Andrew is in the process of joining the Navy --he has high hopes to be a SEAL--physically I know he can do it--he just has to get the mental part down. Andrew is a bit older than most recruits, he is 24 and has two college degrees, one in Econ and the othe in International Business, he is going in as an Enlisted rank to begin with and then will go to OCS at a later date.
I also have a daughter, who is married to a Marine, she has a pretty little baby named Rylie who is our only grandchild. They are stationed at Pendleton north of San Diego.

I am a true troop supporter--I love our military--I am a memebr of Soldier's angels, adopt a Marine, and blue star Mothers--There is no soldier, sailor , airman or marine that I wouldn't go out of my way to help.

Me and my husband live quitely with our three dogs who beleive they are our childen
I am here to support or represent my:
Andrew

Now this kid has been on several high school and college sports teams so you kow he knew----------BUT i gues she lost his head--anyway he said he was way dizzy when all the PTing was over--OK this really worried me as I knew on Friday evening he was going to meet with his Special Warfare Mentor-and he was having trouble with the regula… Continue

Not a problem at all, I totally understand. Your time needed to be spent with your son. I don't know if you know what to expect but you may not hear from him for a few weeks. I wrote to Shaun all the time and I think we got 2 or 3 letters from him and we did get our first phone call after about 3 weeks. Hang in there it will be fine. I am here for you.

Just wanted to say that I am also from Muskogee. My son joined right out of high school after being in the DEP program for a year. He's been in over a year now and I miss him terribly. The funny thing is my daughter married a marine in July. He is in Iraq until late February or early March and she is here with us until he comes home. At that time she will be going to Hawaii, where he is stationed and I'm pretty sad about that. I thought it was funny that we both have Navy sons and Marine son-in-laws.

Hi, I was wondering how you were doing? You were one of my first "friends" when I joined this site. My son is in his 3rd week of boot camp. We have received one letter. He seems to be doing ok, bootcamp is not as bad as he thought it would be. I can't wait to see him in Nov. How is your son doing?
