I am 25 years old and just joined the Navy. The job I got is an Aerographer's Mate and I know very little about what I can expect. I am leaving for boot camp April 22.

Want to invite you to meet other Louisiana moms. I am from Lake Charles. Go to groups and type in Louisiana moms. We have parents with recruits in bootcamp to sailors that have been in for years. I know that you don't have a computer in bootcamp, but when you get to A school let us know how you are doing.

We as parents are never excited about our children leaving the nest, and going so far away. But she will be very proud of you and your biggest supporter. Just give her time to accept the fact that your going and defintly get her to sign up. She will need us more than you will... LOL.. especially while you are at boot camp.

Welcome to the AG Group Angela.
My son is a AG on the USS Theodore Roosevelt (carrier) right now and is based out of Norfolk.

Good Luck in boot camp, it's not bad.
