Hi Anita, welcome to AECF! I was a Navy wife for 10 years myself and my hubby was an FC, now our son is an FC as well. He left GL in january and is currently at the C school for Aegis systems. Please let me know what questions that you may have - the group is great and a wealth of info.

Where is your son's ship homeported at?

Hi Anita,
Thanks for the message. Chet hasn't graduated yet, he just left for Basic. We got our 2 minute(I made it to Chicago) call last nite that turned out to be only about 70 seconds because all he kept saying was that he had to get off the phone??? He did say we probably wouldn't hear from him for at least 2 weeks. After Basic, he's supposed to be headed for the DLI in CA. We're just really missing him right now. Looking forward to the 21st.

Hi Anita,
I got a call this morning from Chris, I was in the middle of typing an email for him. He told me don't bother sending, the computer was down, I guess maintance. Sent it anyway hoping it would go into cyberstorage, no such luck it got kicked back. He said everything as far as he knew was on schedule for coming home. yea!! spring is just around the corner. Am going to hug the stuffing out of that boy when I get ahold of him. He plans on taking 2nd leave once back to home port wants to give those with family to take 1st leave.
