Care Package Ideas

There are so many ideas out there, groups that actually will send packages or gifts to our troops, recipes, themes, all kinds of ideas it would be fun to have an area to store them even though we have them scattered in other groups.

Profile Information

About me:
I am a proud mother of a US NAVY SAILOR. My daughter is now traveling the world and enjoying herself. We all miss her like crazy.
I am here to support or represent my:
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Were not on our time, were on the Navy's.. I've become more patient, she is my oldest out of 4 that is serving and it was very overwelming at first. But it has gotten better.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

So I come home from work get in the shower and my husband calls me and tells me he's on his way. He comes in and says he hit something on the freeway and messed up the side of his truck and wants me to go see it. And I'm thinking oh gosh why is this happening? I thought my daughter was still on hold at A school in Pensacola but no she graduated and was surprising her… Continue

I guess I just realized that I won't have her home on Thanksgiving and Christmas and it broke my heart. This will be the first holidays that we went be together as a family since she was born :'( Time to suck it up...Today was an emotional day!!!

Right now when we get his letter, we will be in the planning stage and the fund raising stage so we can go to his graduation. At first we were not gonna go but he kind of put us on the spot when he said see you at graduation. So, we are going to be doing away with alot of stuff we really don't need to do just so we can go. I wish there was a cheaper way to go. We have a 15 hour or more drive if we drive. Well, this is just me venting and trying to figure things out. Any info you can give would be greatly appreciated.
