About me:
My son has been in the Navy for a little over a year now.He is stationed in Virginia Beach and loving it. I have twin daughters who are 14, whom I am very proud of. I am happily married to my best friend Jerry for 22 years. He's missing his son(out numbered by females). Time is flying by and he is doing very well. We are so proud of him.

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Needed to learn more about it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
To let him make his own decision! Be supportive! Patience!
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

HI Anne, I see on the Ike page that this will be your first deployment. You probably have tons of questions so don't be afraid to ask. This will be my son's third. In some ways they get easier, but in others still very rough. If I can help you in any way just let me know.

My husband knows who he is has never talked to him. He said there were alot of people wating when he got back. He has been in the command for about 2 years. It kinda stinks because they work them alot !! especially on deployments.

He is not 100% sure yet but we believe Norfolk. After that he in January he is being deployed to Kuwait. Where is Jeremy going to in January. My mother and I are doing okay considering. I am having my last Chemo on the 30th and it will be my mothers 2nd. I start radiation after that. So far we are both tolerating it pretty well.
I guess since you did not mention it, you will not be joining us tomorrow?
Hopefully we can get together some time and catch up.

Hi Anne- We are having a NJ Moms Get Together this Sunday at
Houlihans, Bridgewater, NJ at 1PM. I was wondering if you wanted to join us? I know it is kind of far, but I ask just in case.....

How is Jeremy doing? Chris has been activated. He leaves for more training in VA in two weeks and then is being deployed to Kuwait in January. I can't say that I am happy about it, but it is what he signed up for.

Hi Anne-Things have been a little rough. Turns out I have Stage 3 cancer so I need radiation and chemo. To top it off my mother has now also been diagnosed with Breast CA and has surgery on August 11th. We both are trying to stay positive about it though. Chris was told about two weeks ago that his name is on a list for possible deployment to Kuwait. We should find out for sure in a few weeks. Not what I want to hear, especially right now, but at least it is not Iraq or Afghanistan.
Glad to hear Jeremy is doing well. Have you had a chance to visit him recently? Well take care and keep me posted on how he is doing. We may have a NJ Get Together in September. Let me know if you are interested in going.

Thanks Anne. I am home. They booted me out on Wednesday. The surgery was suppose to last about 3 hours but ended up being 7. It turns out they found some lymph nodes were involved also. I am waiting to hear from the doctor today how many but any involvement is not good news. My family is taking very good care of me, but it looks like it is going to be a long summer.

Hope you get to see Jeremy soon. Now is a great time to be in Virginia. I am sure he is enjoying it. Sue's son, Scott just reported to C school in Virginia. He was in 907 also. Maybe they could meet up sometime. Faulkner also lives in VA .
