I was just driving along a highway. This is a temporary set up just for the holidays. I may drive past the place tomorrow. If I do I'll stop and see if this guy's stuff can be ordered off the internet somehow.

I am an incredibly proud American mom. I am a reading coach at an elementary school. I have a wonderful husband and horses, dogs, cats... I like to work in the garden.we have a patriotic son serving in Japan and our future son-in-law will be a USMC officer.

From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
One tidbit I learned from N4M's was to get hooked up with Skype! Now I can see Garrett and it makes a huge difference. I feel much closer to him seeing his expressions as we catch up on things.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Hey Beth. Haven't talked in a long time. How's Garrett doing? Michael's having a hard week this week. He's in Washington State on the Abe Lincoln, which is in the shipyard in Bremerton, and this past week they decided that the nukes in the Reactor Division had to live on the ship until who know's when. He's not a happy camper at all right now. I tried to give him some words of encouragement last night, but don't know if I helped or not. It's so hard to hear him sounding so depressed after he did so well through nuke school. Sigh......
We need to ge together again. How's my friend, Roo, doing?

Yes, that would be me! Definitely a small world! It would have been fun to car pool to the packing party and do some catching up, but this past week I was swamped at school and fighting a flu, and I am now watching my grandson for my daughter who had to go out of town. I would love to get more involved though.
Monday, Lindsey, her son, and I are driving to Conneticut for Chet's graduation from A school. He's a Fire Control Tech on subs and is being deployed to Washington State. He will probably be on his first 5 month sub tour within a month. He had been hoping to visit for Thanksgiving, but when he found out that wasn't going to work out, we decided to make the trip. It's been a year since we've seen him, and once he gets to Washington, who knows how long! Your pictures are great! How long has Garrett been in? We will have to get together!
