I am new to this site but as I was reading someone mentioned to have the phone card activated which I did not do before he left. Can I send him an activated phone card???

Many do have their wisdom teeth removed. The Navy dentists are quite skilled at this. A few are put off until A school, or before deployment. After, they are given mild pain meds and a couple days of SIQ (sick in quarters, bedrest).

The reason you should activate it before you send it is so that he won't have to waste time doing it himself. When they're given the reward of a phone call they don't have a lot of time and don't want to waste precious minutes trying to figure out...
