When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
The most important thing I have learned as a Navy Mom is that the structure of military life can make a man or break a boy. When I shook my son's hand for the first time at his graduating ceremony I realized that my little boy would now only exist in pictures. But before me stood a MAN, straight and proud, confident and accomplished. I AM SO PROUD!
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

If he is married and needs a place, I am willing also. (after I chose add comment I realized that my note was a little tacky if he is married!

Hello Betty,

I noticed your note on Jean's page that your son is a recruiter in Tulsa now. I live very near Tulsa, so it there is ever anything I can do to help him (or you), please let me know.

If he is single and needs a place to go for Christmas or whatever, I would love to be able to help.

Hi Betty, How are you? I have what you have! mine is small and I'm having day surgery on the 10th of Nov. My mom will also need surgery. When we both get better I'd like to bring you those beads and things and make a bra for my mom. It will tickle her pink!

Just saw your pictures, I know some of these ladies!! Was this for the Navy days in Dallas? Will you be going to the Habitat for Women on the 11th? I want to go but have to see what is going on here first. My Hubby isn't well either, he has appointments this week and we will see what they want to do, his feet are so swollen and red, he has heart problems and diabeties. Keep us in your prayers.

Hi Betty, Christopher has a test tomorrow and Wen. and Fri. my husband has Dr. appointments so lets try for next week. Christopher's classes will move to 1-3PM so we could meet in the Morning or any time on Friday( unless another Dr. appt. comes up) I just found out today that my mom does have breast cancer. it is quite deep and is 4x6 in. They will be doing an MRI to see if it has spread. She is 83 and has altizmers. When the Dr. told her she said" It's in God's hands " She doesn't seem afraid at all which is a blessing and she is Right-- It is in God's hands now"!!

I meant to ask -- what organization are you working with on the breast cancer stuff? My best friend for over 40 years is a cancer survivor..I was blessed to be able to go for her last treatment.

Betty, I know where Beach is. I live off Central and Harwood. I'd love to have you come for coffee but right now I have both boys home and NOT only are the closets a mess but so is the Whole HOUSE!! lol. I am Taxi service for the summer for the younger one who does not drive yet. He is taking some dual credit classes at UTA this summer. So meeting some where for coffee would be great. My # is 817-540-4656 .and my name is Louise (P'Nut) I will call you to set a time this week after 1:30 as that is about when I get back home. There is no school on Fridays, will that work for you?.
