The Fort McHenry was over in Sasebo from 1995-2006ish. It looks like (from the internet) they rotate in and out of there.
I don't know. I googled the ship and went to their website. So that's all I know about the ship is what's on their site. He should be on the ship for several years and will go where ever it goes...
He doesn't finish school until January. But they all got their orders already.
He is an engineman and it is about a 24 hr drive home now. I know this because we've driven it several times.

- Hi Brandy.........great pictures here!! I do about a dozen or so (lost count) art/craft shows per year, and of course, autumn is super busy. I'm now down to my last two for the year.....River Falls on December 5, and St.Olaf Church in Eau Claire on Dec 12 and 13. Since the majority of my stuff is for kids, sales are brisk (and I'm TIRED).
I see you live in Prescott. We have some other Navy Moms in west central Wisc., and had a get-together in Menomonie in August. Next time we get something going, I hope you can attend. We had a blast sharing pictures and bragging

- Hi Brandy, JP's Mom, Welcome! I am glad you found the Korean recipes. They are some of my "kids" favorites. We also have two exchange students with us for the school year. One from Germany and one from Korea. My kids are out of the house so I had to fill it up again. The world is truly an amazingly small and wondrous place. Grants Pass is a small town compared to some and yet we as moms have some connections to both here , the Navy and Korea. I would like to keep in contact.

- Just watched your pictures--they are great! It brought back so many memories of my son, Jeff, when he graduated boot camp back in 2002. A friend and I drove down to G.L., and my brother came up from Nashville to watch the ceremony. When Jeff graduated from A-School we again attended the ceremony. Many of the kids did not have family attending, especially A-School graduation, and I felt bad for them. It really meant a lot to us to be there, and I know Jeff appreciated it. My nephew was also there for the A-School graduation in his uniform. At the time he was in the Army and had been to Afghanistan and Iraq. Talk about feeling patriotism! Anyway, thanks for sharing your pictures!
