I am a very Proud Navy Mom! I have been married for 21 years to a wonderful person. He is my best friend. My husband is a retired 1SG in the Army and we have one son.

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Although I have been through the deployments in the Army, it was very hard having to watch my son leave. but knowing that he is happy makes it a little easier. When we left Jonathan after graduation weekend I knew that he was going to be ok.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

That's wonderful! I'm so glad you got to spend time with him :]
I haven't really been on for a while either - been so busy with school and working at the same time too it's so hard to keep up with sometimes.
He hasn't taken his test yet, as far as I'm aware right now he's in the field so we don't have contact right now. Sometimes he'll get a text message out but not often. So hopefully by the weekend :]

Actually yes he's stationed there now. I've been flying out whenever I can afford to see him. We were actually trying to plan a trip for Thanksgiving - since they took all block leave for Thanksgiving and Christmas, but it's really hard to take off work and classes and get all the money saved up.

I can't tell you how excited I am to find an Army wife lol

I know you are proud of him Brenda - what a great job he did in class! Is he on a frigate? Just looking at your groups and see you are part of the Kaufmann and I think it is a frigate ...right?

I met a couple of moms in Norfolk last week for a homecoming of one of the ships that had been out to sea for 7 months. It is a big base and SO many ships are there!
