About me:
Easy going, very active, Love my Family, involved in my community and Church. My husband and I have a RV, which we go camping whenever we can get away. Jimbo, our son who is in the Navy, is our youngest. Going into the Navy was a choice which he made and we respect his decision, however it is hard for me to let go. But most of all I want what is best for Jimbo.
I am here to support or represent my:
Robert James Gilmore (Jimbo)
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Needed to learn more about it, Was proud, Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
I need to pray for him and be strong for him. He is doing something that he really believes in.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer

Hi Brenda
It is a small world. I can picture your husband and I bet I know you if I see you. I use to attend the family focus class every now and then and I can remember Jim talking about your son. I am good friends with the Dingenthals (Carla and Dwight) our sons started playing soccer together in kindergarden.
Have you heard from Jimbo yet? I didn't hear one word, not even I made it from Justin until after 6 weeks. Bootcamp was tough. It has been great since he has been in school. I can talk to him anytime. He just got home for Christmas break, or his leave before he goes to the fleet.
Graduation is great, It is wonderful to see how much they changed (for the better)just small things.
Justin said C school is a harder version of A school. It depends what your job is.
Hope your family has a wonderful Christmas. If you have any questions let me know, we will get the answers from Juston while he is here.

Warm!!!! Our son has requested his Dad wear a sport coat and slacks as opposed to shorts and a T. I am guessing he would like me in a suit or dressy dress. Lets see if we can round up some experience on this. L

yes, Cody is in Great Lakes, I will have to borrow a coat to wear there because we just don't get that cold here, as you know. I am happy for your Jimbo, I hope he loves the subs.

Hi Brenda
I'm so sorry it has taken me so long to get back with you.this is mt busy time of the year and I haven't got on navy for moms in awhile. I know what your going through I was on all the time (and I do mean all the time) when justin was in bootcamp. Its much better when they are in school you can talk to them anytime. Justin also graduated in 2007 but from MHS. So how is Jimbo have you heard from him? When is PIR for him? Just curious but what church do you go to? There is a Gilmore at our church and I know they have a son about the same age as mine. I'll have to call Justin and see if he knows your son. Look forward to talking to you.
