About me:
Hi, I'm Brenda and proud mother of Nick, better known as "Doc" to all his friends at home. We are from the Nashville, Tennessee area. He arrived at BC on 7/20/09.

He is assigned to Ship 07, DIV 318. PIR 09/11/09

He chose the medical path and will train to be a Hospital Corpsman after boot camp.

Hi Brenda!! Just thought I'd drop by and say hello, hope you and Nick are both doing well. Things here are well, I'm looking forward to seeing Blake come home for Christmas. Have a great Thanksgiving!

hi brenda, i'm doing good. yes zach started school. he seems to like it. i think this weekend is the first time he gets to go off base and has to be back in by midnight. kinda makes me nervous, but they have to be with someone else when they leave so that makes me feel better. zach seems to be hanging out with just the guys that were in his div. ( 943 ) so he probably doesn't know nick.
i sent his clothes to him earlier this week and yesterday i mailed him a plastic pumpkin full of candy for halloween!!
how is nick doing? does he like it? have you sent all his stuff to him yet?
i wish i knew where zach was going to be stationed next. he said he graduates from Aschool on jan. 21 (i think) is that when nick will graduate?

Glad to see Nick is doing well! Wow what a difference post BC I with you it is so nice to have that part over with! Z is still doing INDOC and is still in GL hold over ship until he can get more perminent ship... But they talk like classing up for GM is a process...

Hi!!! We're doing great, we talk to Blake most everyday now too, and yes that is sooo much better. His school starts this week, and then Friday we are driving down to see him for the weekend, so I'm excited about that! Glad to hear that things are good for you and Nick! I really liek A-school so much better than boot camp, LOL!

What a GREAT picture! I need to figure out how to download! We heard from Jonathan last night. He has arrived in Calif and is ready to begin his A school. He continues to lose weight-he is down 30 pounds and on his 6 foot frame he needs to get this under control. I told him to talk to his Petty Officer to see what he can do. But everything is great here-really hard to get back into the swing as my mind is back in Chicago but it'll be in Calif soon! Keep in touch.

hi brenda. yeah he called me tuesday and wednesday and said he would call tonight. i sent his phone out yesterday so he should get it on friday sometime. i will be glad when he gets his phone , cuz its hard to hear him on the phones they have to use there. he said its like college but with alot more rules!! he bought himself a lap top at the nex too.
did you guys have a good weekend with nick? we had a good time. i think the thing zach liked the most was coming to our hotel in the morning and being able to take a long hot shower all by himself! he did admit to feeling a little like a fish out of water sometimes. it was like he almost felt more comfortable being on base at the nex. did you get any feelings like that from nick? i'm glad they slowly phase them back in, they are soooo structured while in bootcamp. keep in touch and let me know how nick is doing, and i'll do the same about zach. talk to you soon.
