aww britt, i am SO sorry! idk what i would do! idk what to tell you. i really hope they get that straightened out asap! is he sitting there wasting days he could be home or does he still get the same amount of days as he would have earlier? i'm so sorry...

George's chit did get approved. i called him while he was still at their christmas party thingy and asked him about it. i hated to bother him while he was busy but i really wanted to know. all he said was "o, yeah, i'm coming home....sure, i promise. got to go, babe."....sorta dissappointing, i was expecting a lot more excitement on his part, but i guess he was a lot more confidant than i was that it would be approved. i was WAY nervous.

so, about college, it's a little complicated. They can't accecpt me till I have my ACT scores, but i can't apply for financial aid or any of their scholarships until i am accecpted. the deadline for getting assistance for this next fall semester is january. well i missed the dec. ACT testing, and i can't test until feb. 7. and even then it takes 3-8 weeks till i get my scores back, so it's probably going to be april before i can finish my application process, and if i'm accecpted (which their director of admissions already talks to me like i am) it will be too late for me to get any financial aid. :( so idk how it's going to work out. i'm sorta in a bind, but there's nothing i can do about it. i'll just have to find scholarships someplace elese...take out some student loans or something.

is john home yet?? george said that he'd know by the end of the week if his chit was apporved or not. well...the end of the week is today...i forgot to ask him to check on it when he called and woke me up this morning, but i'm dying to ask him as soon as he gets off work!

so with john being stationed in england, that's her homeport, right? i mean, will he still have deployments? have you thought about that? idk how that works, but he might not always be in england. my parents (not so lovingly) pointed out that george isn't going to even be there when i go to school more than half the time. but, that's okay with me. i still like the school. if you get to go to england, when will you leave?

seabees aren't assigned to ships. not that i know of anyways...he's flying to cuba for a 6 week operation...he's supposed to leave the end of may, so he might even be back as early as late july...but it all depends on how long it takes them to finish the job. what drives me crazy is that unlike people attached to ships, seabee deployments are very random, and the length of their deployments are always unknown. they go where ever they are needed, for however long they are needed. george said that for some reason, norfolk doesn't deploy seabees nearly as often as other places. no idea why, but it seems that way. and i'm glad!

a year studying in england would be awesome! think your dad will go for it? or have you already asked him?

i REALLY want to go see george in march. (march 4th to be exact) it's the seabee ball and i really want to go to it!! my mom was talking about taking a trip up there to see the school i'm going to and such anyways, so hopefully that works out. i'd rather not go with my mom, but it's better than nothing! lol.

the reason he can't come home for my birthday is on the DL, but i don't see any harm in saying it here. his daughter's mom is coming home from alaska to supprise her parents in feb. george would assume wait a month to see me so he can see his daughter as well. but it's a huge supprise for the grandparents. selfishly, i've got to admit that i'm a little bummed he'll miss my birthday...i'm turning 18 and that's when i'm allowed to start dating. we'd always planned that he'd take me out on my 18th birthday. but knowing his daughter is coming makes up for all of that. i miss her SO bad since they moved to alaska and i can't wait to see her!! and i'm really glad that he'll probably get to see her. he's just got to get his leave approved.

o, ps- i defnitely aggree with you that we need more than 30 days a year!!

awww thats cool. atleast he came for thanksgiving and hopefully he"ll get leave on the 12th.
so your planning to go with him to england? im pretty sure you guys will work everything out. it just takes time.
just bee excited that he's coming from for three weekss!

me and danny just spent all the time we could together.
it really feels great to have them back home.
and as of me moving to va with him. i guess we'll plan it when he gets back from deployment

england isn't any more dangerous than new york....i don't really see your dad's reasoning. that's really frusterating, i'm sorry. maybe if he's going to be stationed over there for some years, what else is he going to do with his 30 days leave? maybe he could always be the one to come see you. and if it was a financial burden you guys could take turns paying for his plant ticket or something. or you could just always find a buddy to take to england with you so your dad wouldn't worry.

george was supposed to come home in january for my birthday, but he told me last night that he's not going to anymore. but he might be home in feburary sometime. he deploys in may, and i really want to go up there and see him before he leaves.

Chip comes in on the 19th! im hella excited!!! Lily is good...its 5am here and she is wide awake. ughhh haha.
