Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
It hurts to watch them leave...

It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Hey Brynn - I finally got my form letter yesterday (on Jason's b-day). It was great to see those few lines from him. I felt soooo much better! I had been crying all day & missing him. What a relief, just to get that. He sounds like he is doing well, just wants mail ASAP! Said he loved & missed me & sent his love to his girlfriend! Thanks for all you support. How are you doing??

Hey Brynn,
What is up? Not much here. I've talked to Al a couple of times, but seems like he is keeping himself busy hanging out and enjoying his freedom. Do you think you will get a chance to go back to GL before they head to San Diego? If so let me know when. I have had to work a lot lately, but not doing that again. It kicked my butt. Hope all is well. Take care and talk to you soon!

Thanks again Brynn! It must be nice to be able to have the cell phone & talk regularly. I know my time will come. I'm just not very patient at this time!! Where is Zach right now?? Jason is going to be in Pensacola for A school & at least that is only about 4 hours from here. That will be nice! I still don't have his address. I have a couple of letters ready, but no address. I called his recruiter today & no one answered. I hope it will be soon. I know I'll feel better once I know my letters are going to him!
I am excited about PIR and I know that will be a very proud moment! You are a great comfort to me, thanks for everything!

Thanks Brynn! I got the box yesterday with all his clothes! That was so hard, lots more tears. I just want his address so I can start sending him letters. When do I get that?? My heart just aches to hear something from him. I know it will get easier. You have been a great comfort to me. Thank for everything! How is your son doing?? I have been praying for him!
Take care!

Thanks for the kind words!! I'm sure it does get a bit easier, but now it's so new & fresh, it's so hard!! My heart aches to just hear from him, but I know it will be a while & I'm trying (not very successfully) to deal with that. My husband is a Navy brat, his father did 25 year (he's pasted away - way too young -56). My father was in England's Army (before I was born). I lived in Virginia (Woodbridge) for 22 years before we moved to Florida (been here 10 years). It is beautiful there! I will keep your son in my prayers!!
