I can totally relate to that feeling. My boyfriend graduates in one month from today, actually and it feels like it's been forever! I guess you have to keep telling yourself that this is not permanent--boot camp doesn't last forever!

Mary (Chris' mom) said… - Hi Cait! My son is at GL right now headed for Dam Neck also after PIR on Jan. 9th. When does your b/f PIR or has he already? Does he know yet exactly when he leaves for Dam Neck? Maybe he and Chris will run into each other. I know the barracks are quite a walk from the Intel school building. Tell him to go to the MWR as soon as he can and they will go by the school and introduce the new guys to all they offer.

- Yeah I dont expect him to come every weekend. But it is nice to know he can come visit some times or I could go visit him. Do you know anything about delayed entry? My boyfriend and I were talking about that tonight. He wants to find out about it from his recruiter. He plans on joining in February and yes he is going to train to be a SEAL. What is your sailor training to be?

- Thanks, he told me today that hes like positive that BUDS will be in San Diego. He said he will come visit me on the weekends. Sometimes I feel excited, it will be something new and I know I will be so proud of him! I cant wait to be his wife. How are you doing?

- Hey, thanks so much for the encouragement! I've been having such a hard time with the idea that he is going to be gone soon. I've never cried so much in my life..I can't imagine how it will be when hes gone! My boyfriend is going to train to be a SEAL. Do you know if he will be able to do BUDS out here in San Diego? That would be awesome because then he could visit me once in a while.
