The recruiter is the one who would be able to answer the question. My daughter has been waiting just about 9 months and she had a job classification. Stay on your recruiter or ask to be reclassified with a job even if there is not an opening.

Try talking to other navy people your veteran's administration (VA) and USO can help with this as well as base ombudsman that is why the military has PR people to answer questions if you live near a base there are sources of information available ...

Daughter at Boot Camp

My daughter just left two days for boot camp. For all the new mom that their children have shipped keep in touch with all the other moms on this site It helps. You are never truly prepared for the emotions when your child leaves.At least I wasn't. I'm so proud. I try to keep in mind I cant be experiencing half the emotions she because she left her 14 month old son with me and they have never been separated. So stay strong and use the combined knowledge of others on the site it will help..… Continue

We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!
