Profile Information

About me:
I am married to a wonderful husband and father of 24 years. We have 3 beautifull children. Our daughter who is married and finishing up their last coulple of months in the UK as her wonderful husband who is in the Airforce. They will be moving back home the end of July and I will be happy to have them back on US soil and close to family.
A very awsome sailor Steven who is stationed in Norfolk VA on the USS Carl Vinson CVN 70 she is the most beautiful ship in the fleet. I may be a little bias on that comment. He is an AO working on getting his crow. I will have to say that I get tears when I see him in uniform. I will say that I pretty much feel that way when I see any of our service personel in uniform as I know how proud their families are of them.
Our last but not least is Marcus who is going to 7th grade and is very active in football. He can not wait for next season as he gets to play full contact. He is also very pationate about his guatars. He is working hard on learning to play and is very insistant on teaching himself.

We love time with our family and going to the lake. Hopefully if all goes well all 3 of your children will be home for a few weeks together. I can not wait for Steven to meet Evelyn.

Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Be strong for them as they need it. It is such a lifestyle change for them. Especially if they have a strong family bond.
It has enriched my relationship with my son I am so very proud of him and can not wait to tell someone about him or show them his picture in uniform
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Thanks for the heads up. We are going to order the dvd. We are staying in Waukeegan (sp?) at the Candlewood Suites. A couple of other families from our PIR group are staying there too. I already told my hubby that we WILL be in line at the gate no later than 6am since the gates open at 6:30. Someone told me there are division flags or posters there and to sit right in the front. I can't wait. It's coming so soon. I'm like some giddy schoolgirl. It's ridiculous but I don't care. He's atheletic petty officer. Will he have something to distinguish him for that? I'm just thinking that they're all going to look pretty much the same out there and want to find my Sailor before it's over. LOL.

Thanks. I can't wait to go. I want to see him in that uniform but I'm sure he is ready to be out of it. Only 3 1/2 weeks left.
