Boy that's a long time span!! HAHA! How have you been?
You wrote Kenneth did get to Virginia, good. That's where my daughter Kim is stationed. She's on the USS Normandy.
I hope you write again, don't be a stranger.
Take care and God bless,
Barbara
My name is Barbara, I am a Navy Mom. My daughter Kim just gradutated June 6, 2008.
I read your son Kenneth, I pray that he does gets stationed in Virginia. My heart went out to you that you wrote you haven't seen Kenneth since 2005. My prayers go out for you, that is difficult, they are still our babies, no matter what age they are !!!
I hope to hear from you. I live in the Bronx, New York, I was born in Bridgeport Connecticut, that's what caught my eye.
Take care and stay well.
Barbara
We are so glad you are here and look forward to hearing about your sailor This is is a great support group or all of you from boot camp to the fleet.
What is your sailor doing with the navy?
Hello and Welcome to N4M’s!
My name is Catherine the Admin and I’m glad you’ve joined us. As you start exploring you will see a great amount of chatter (IE: knowledge, support, advice, etc.) on our site (in our blogs, forums, and videos.) Before you add your point of view (POV) or ask questions, I want to share some ground rules with you. Here they are:
1) Please show respect at all times for all who belong to this community. (I like to say- Keep it civil… and everybody love everybody!)
2) For security, please do not reveal the current location of your Sailor or Officer.
3) Remember that this community is public, so anything you post (about yourself, your child or someone else) can be seen by anyone.
4) This site is moderated, so inappropriate content will be removed, like anything vulgar, hateful, violent, racist or otherwise obnoxious or illegal.
5) We may remove anything deemed inappropriate or inaccurate.
6) Members who solicit, advertise products, spam or flood on this site will be asked to walk the plank. Seriously.
7) DON'T SHOUT! Writing in capital letters means you're screaming in the digital world. That's not nice. So to emphasize a word, place *asterisks* on either side.
8) Let’s be tidy. Before beginning a new topic in the Forums, try searching at the top right of your screen to see if the subject has been addressed already. AKA- Be BEST friends with the search button!
9) Please don’t send the site's administrator (that’s me!) questions about the Navy. That’s what the Forums and your local recruiter are for. This site's administrators are NOT members of the U.S. Navy. They're here to keep the topics organized but cannot provide any Navy-related answers, nor can they respond to personal questions. (And trust me, Navy Moms answer quicker and better than I ever could)
10) Feel free to contact me with suggestions or comments about this site’s functionality.
Okay, so those are the house rules. Time to connect with other Navy moms!
I look forward to reading more about you!
Sincerely, Catherine
