Hi Lorrie, I haven't seen you online in a while, how have you been? I was telling my son yesterday that life has changed so much in twelve months. Last year at this time our boys were in bootcamp and getting ready for Battlestations and graduation...

Hi Elizabeth, Welcome to the group. The commute can be two hours if he is commuting via car. The highway goes around Puget Sound, so it's a long drive. When does your husband report to the Lincoln? I'm sure that by the time you move up to Washingt...

Sue, I'm in Los Angeles so San Diego would be wonderful to see them off. I would travel to Everett to see them off also, it would be important to me if I would not see my son for seven months. I'm hoping there will be some advance warning of their...

Hello Carmina,
I was wondering if you son could touch base with my son on the USS Abraham Lincoln. He arrived this summer there and still is learning the ropes. It would be nice to know as many people as possible there. I am not sure if I should give out my son's on this site. If you think your son wouldn't mind. Shea just turned 20 and I know he would appreciate the friendship and teaming.

Hi Carmina, Yes, Craig is AO, and he was in div. 012. He is heading for CA and will be landbased. How about your son? We are hoping that ours can come home for a visit. He hasn't been home yet, since he left for BC. Have a good night. carol

Hi Carmina,

We had a great holiday it was nice to have Casey back home and being able to see the whole family. I like you are not on this as much as I use to be being that I talk to Casey daily, he was having a little bit of a rough time for the first week back, this being on hold has started to take a toll on him, he was much better this week he was able to phase up he just wants to start school and get to his duty station. I feel for the kid you can only do so much cleaning. When does Joey's school start? Casey like Joey had taken his glove back to play ball, anything for a little bit of a distraction.
talk with you soon,
I will check back a little quicker talk to you soon.

Hi,
How are you holding up? 2 weeks left it has gone by so fast. Have you heard any info about the DIV from your son? I know they were to start firefighting this week or maybe next but that was the last I heard?

Hi Carmina!
I got it I got that first call today when I was at worktoday. Did you get yours today? Casey sounded so mature I did not recognize his voice at first. He loves it says he got in trouble at first because of the songs they sing during workouts would make him laugh then they made him workout even more. LOL
How is Joey doing. I asked Casey in one of the letters if he knew your son and he does, says they are going to Pensacola together . What a huge releif just to hear his voice now I know he is really ok.
Talk to you soon

Hi Carmina!
It was so nice to hear from you! My son, Jordan, also left on Sept 29th to boot camp. He is in DIV 014 - USS Chicago, Bldg 7117. I received his form letter and the box that was mailed back with all his personal items and clothes. I am so proud that he has joined, but have been so nervous at the same time. He was able to call me this last Saturday, and didn't sound too happy. He said boot camp was really hard and that he'd try to make it to the end, but not to worry. He sounded so different. I'm sure it was because there was lots of other guys in line to call their mom's too. LOL. Poor guy. Lots of us have sent him letters, so we hope he gets them soon. I'm sure it will make him feel better. Have you heard from your son yet? - Tia

Dear Carmina,
How are you doing? This Navy for moms is such a blessing.
Boot Camp is frightening for us moms, the not knowing how our babies are doing.
How far along is Joey in Boot Camp now?

I'm glad you joined the group "Boot Camp moms". The groups are like a survival kit!! HAHA!!!

Joey is doing fine and in good hands with the Navy. Once he gets used to the rountine of Boot Camp, he'll like it. They all do believe it or not.

It's us moms having the nervous breakdowns!! HAhA!!
Please stay in touch with the group, and other Navy moms. I'm always around!! HAHA!! Together we'll help you through Boot Camp...we haven't lost a mom yet!! HAHA!!
Take care and God bless.
