YEAH the boys promoted to petty officers!!! wow they are pretty busy down there now..kacey is doing really good now, taking some college classes and busy with sea cadets,,,never any slack time,,,he is keeping busy :) trying to keep from being home sik:( ..you should be getting close to done with school now????
really quiet here ,,he is our only child so I just work as much OT as I can to keep busy......keep me posted how you are doing...

I hear the boys have become good buddies down there.....does dave get to call much,,,kc has been calling alot and got his fone bill today,,ugh 250 buks,,,,sooo he not call as much,,,they start work next week hopefully that will keep them busy.....how are you doing .???? school almost done yet? Cat! Dave is graduating?!!! Girl, you know you better hi tail it down to sunny San Antonio! I thought they got leave after A School, but since they are not.... you have to tell me all about your 2nd trip. I love San Antonio... make sure you have some BBQ.

Cat, My daughter just called me back-- the resturant is called MI Tierra she said she was watching a movie and wasn't really hearing me!! Just like kids. But at least when it sunk in she called me back!!

Enjoy the weekend!. I have a call into my daughter who now lives in FL. she knows the name of that Mexican Rest. Just got her call, she said it's in the Market district. It's called Marquez Restraunt and Bakery , near the loop. You can go on line to find it. It's well known and the food is good and moderately priced. You will go crazy in the bakery part and want to bring EVERY THING home with you! Also they have lots of small shops to look around and walk some of those calories off. ha,ha talk later and Happy Valentines day.

Cat, We are going down to see Josie next weekend, any chance you are going to still be there? Did you get to see the Alamo, the River walk, and there is a very famous Mexican Resturant that sells all kinds of pastries? Yum Yum. I'm glad you are getting a chance to see your son before he has his tour of duty. I think I read a comment from one mom that said they have to stay on base the whole time ( they can't go into town) but they have it pretty good so it's not a bad tour at all. Will he be gone long?

Hi Cat, I saw where your son wants to go to RI. That's were I was raised! And my oldest daughter was born at the Naval Hospital in '67. We now live in TX. I didn't know they still have ships in RI, just the Naval War College, Is he going there? My Josie(granddaughter) is doing her A class in San Antonio. About 6 hrs from where we live. We do not know where her first duty station will be but I still have family in RI and it would be neat if Josie went there.
