He should be charged with TREASON as well and sentenced to death! I do feel for his family, but am more concerned about the innocent he killed and injured as well as his lack of support for our country.

Profile Information

About me:
I am the daughter of a sailor so when Rich told me that he wanted to join the Army I asked him to examine all of the military services. He did and chose the Navy. Richard is the youngest of 5 children and the only one to join the Navy. My oldest is a widow of 10 months with 4 children.

My husband, of nearly 10 years, is from the UK and at the time Rich enlisted was not a US citizen so Rich had to go into PS. He had been in the Navy for about 4 years now and is in training in Virginia for his 1st choice. He graduated from "A" school on 2-13-09 and will soon start "C" school.

We are a very close family and call each other almost everyday. I miss them all very much, but am very pleased with their successes and great choices.
I am here to support or represent my:
Child/Stepchild
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
It's so hard to let go especially since Richard is my youngest and lives so far away.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Gifts for Nimitz Ladies

Ms. Hanks,

I have finally heard back from the legal department on the ship and as generous an offer as this is, we can't accept it because it could be seen as discriminatory based on gender. Thank you so much for thinking of our sailors, but any gifts to the ship have to be for all sailors. If you have any other questions please feel free to email us.

Respectfully,
Kathy Meitl

anytime Charla! Hopefully you wont have to move out to find another "nowhere". I guess on the west coast a sure sign that your small town is going to boom is when a wall mart or a Safeway moves in. ...have you seen them yet???

Dear Charla,
You didn't go out to eat at least for your birthday? I love my lobster dinners! HAHA!

SO how is your Sailor doing? That's always so nice to hear from them.

I have nightmares of serial killers with knives. Lovely dreams. I don't even watch movies like that. I don't like slasher movies at all.

You know I dream of Rachel, a few times already, I have.
On occassion I dream of one of the wrestlers. That's funny, they're always friends in my dreams, that what I call them. I watch wrestling every Monday night. HAHA!

I actually slept all day. I only got up to eat. Doug had the computer all day and night. Darlene watched four foot ball games. I got out of bed at 6 PM.
I want to find something to do on the weekends, but I'm so limited. As for volunteering somewhere, I can't do much, Then the traveling scares me, when I get off the bus. Even with my cane, I walk like I'm drunk.

Let me get going. STay well.
Take care and God bless,
Love,
Barbara

Dear Charla,
I'm so bored of vampires, I'm vampired out! HAHA! For years, Kim read books on them and wrote poems about them. I was her proof reader. She made my toes curl, she was so graphic! UGH! She did get an award and even one peom got published, as graphic as it was! UGH!

You need to place update pictures of Carina on your page! HAHA!! How much does she weigh now?
You have kittens, good luck finding them homes. Years ago, I had a dog that had puppies. I was with her when she gave birth, 7 of them.. They were adorable, but oh they destroyed the house!! HAHA! I lucked out finding them homes.

I wouldn't have patience to fuss over long hair. My two dogs are short hair, one's a pug, and the puppy is a puggles, pug and beagel mix. Rosa's dog is a maltese, her fur is so badly matted. Ahe the dog is white, but she always has a dirty face, she doesn't get bathed that often.

Rosa just called, a neighbor of mine, who David is friends with, just got arrested on a drug bust. So Rosa called and told David to stay home. The cops did see David with this guy Maurisicio, David said he ran He's lucky the cops didn't chase after him. I told David you look quilty if you run. I've told him that for many years, he never listens.

Okay, I have a short term memory, I need a refresher course! HAHA! Which one is Logan and who is Mark.? I know one of them is your husband!! HAHA!

Let me get going. Stay well.
Take care and God bless,
Love,
Barbara

Dear Charla,
You're into the Twilight too!! HAHA! Have you read all the books yet? Darlene and Kim are on the second book, New Moon. Every one says this one is so boring. Darlene saw the trailer for the movie, coming in November, it looks good.
I saw the movie several times, not by by choice.! HAHA! It's good, but, I think Belle and Edward, forget the fact she's a mortal and he's a vampire, they are way too serious. They don't act normal, no smiling, laughing, nothing in common....boring!! How can either one be attracted to one another?

And what are they a new breed of vampires, they crystalize in the sun!! HAHA! Must be becaue they're vegetarians!! HAHA!! That's original!! HAHAH!,

Oh what I say, when I can't get my kids to help me clean or do anything, "I don't see any wheelcahirs around" HAHA!

Darlene and Bernie are watching the movie, Marley and me. You ever see that movie? It's a tear jerker.

Darlene wants to see that new movie, Paranormal Activity. I bet it's a flop, just a couple of jumping scenes. We'll find out when she goes! AHAH!
Let me get going.
Stay well. That's great you didn't need any medication, God willing today will be the same.
Take care and God bless,
Love,
Barbara

Hi Charla,
The flag is called Blue Star and yes it is flown for deployment. I keep mine up since we still have family and neighbors in the sandpit. Its an interesting story behind it but don't want to give it wrong so will look it up. Sadly if you see a flag with a Gold Star, that family has someone who made the ultimate sacrifice. May none of us have to change that Star.

You can order from www.serviceflags.com. I have gotten lapel pins from them, they have a neat one with the service emblem and both the American and BlueStar Flag.

I see you're from Washington, we llived in Olympia 79-82 and absolutely loved it. Where is Outlook?

Thanks for stopping by, will catch you later,
Kelly

Dear Charla,
You had your Disabiltiy taken, how horrible.!!! I would fight for it. How can they do that. I do have Disability. That's a fear of mine, if it got taken away.
I'm afraid to travel anywhere, with the vertigo. I can't stand for more than a few minutes, can't talk on a phone or deal with people. The hearing aide helps, but many days it doesn't.

That recently happened with Rosa and Valerie's Disability. Rosa had to fight for it. WHen Val turned 18, the notice said she can work. Val has spina bifida, so she has many limitations. The school she goes to, teach's her how to be independant, she graduates when she's 21.

I like that campassion. My family, Doug does help me a little, not much, He complains more. The only things he does is make the bed for me and put the dirty dish's in the dish washer.
I keep telling him, if he doesn't like something, help me out.
My kids too. They do their own laundry, but that's it. Asking them to help me, I just keep hearing "Tomorrow", I'm still wating for this "tomorrow" to come. Even like the weeds in the front of the house. David does yard work but not for me.

I love this one, I'm struggling to carry the garbage out. Doug will do it, if I bring it to him. Darlene and Bernie will watch me struggle. And there four stairs involved, me and stairs are not good together.

Sounds like Logan is as bad as Doug. I love when Doug does something, and something falls, He screams at me that I didn't offer to help him. I didn't know he needed help to reach up on the refridgerator, or something like that so simple.!! Oh if he sees a towel or some clothing on the floor, he asks what he should do with it. Sometimes I get sarcastic and tell him to tap dance with it! HAHA!! Just put it in the laundry, fool!! HAHA! Geez, and I didn't even go to college!! HAHA!

That;s great about Richard, I wish him well. I always hated learning a new job. I always said, I couldn't wait until the following week, that first week is a horror.

Kim called last night, from Florida. She said it's hot and humid there.
Let me get going. You stay well.
Take care adn God bless,
Love,
Barbara

I am so glad to hear that Richard made it to the boat! That is a relief just knowing where he is, isn't it? Chris has been writing nearly every day, if only a few words, it helps so much just to know he is okay. He is staying busy busy which is good and said that he was actually looking forward to having time to do laundry... Is that MY son!?!?
He said now that he is there and working, he feels like this deployment will go fast and that makes me feel better too. Just mailed my first care package complete with all the items other moms said he might like or need. I understand they can buy just about anything they need on the boat but who doesn't love to get a care package!?!?
Well, I am going to close and get ready for work. Take care and know you all remain in my prayers. C
