Yes renting furniture is a rip off. My husband use to work for Rent A Center before joining the Navy and if you didn't pay the item(s) off before the 90 days they increased the price of the item(s) by an outrageous amount.
My personal feeling is that renting furniture is a huge rip off. And its expensive. Most people either bought furniture, or they rented furnished apartments. The furnished apartments tend to be cheaper than renting furniture.
That's great of you to offer Chris. Unfortunately my Nuke doesn't move to off-base housing till January.... I was curious if everyone bought furniture or if it would just be easier to rent it for the six months or so....
I hate to be the one tossing out adverts, but I know that some of your sons are going to be graduating from power school this coming weekend, and moving out into town. Since I'm PCS'ing soon, I'm trying to sell off all my furniture to make my move...
I was just putting the rules out there as they are clearly written. Whether you're performing well and your chief likes you and your not a screw up so you get the benefit of the doubt, thats a different story.

We loved Goose Creek at Thanksgiving. Also got a better view of the Cooper River than ever before, and it was great.
