Was proud, Was relieved, Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
to be patient . This is the best choice for him
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Christine...My last letter fromShane was the best I have recieved so far...he only has a week to go till PIR...He says things get a lot easier...it was just more a matter of getting the routine down and trying all sorts of new stuff your not used to doing....He seems to be as excited to see us as we are to see him...it does warm the heart for sure...I'm getting so excited!!.....take care Deb

Andy has sent me 2 wonderfully upbeat letters from boot-camp. I m so proud of him and when I get a letter in the mail it's like a childhood Christmas from times past. I get so excited...can't open up that present ..(letter) fast enough....and Wow ..What a great gift.. of love and confidence and support for each other.

I am sure that this is a great great thing for him to have joined the navy. Funny how after they join that they finally find their way back to the ones that love them. The navy really does encourage family so I hope and pray that he finds his way back to you

Please tell us about Andrew and has he gone to boot camp yet? what is his job with the navy?

I love the corgi I have a puggle and a black lab they are my babies esp since the kids are going to the navy

Thanks so very much for your support..I'm new this website ..My son phoned me @ work to tell me the news..I cried tears of joy when he called because we had been estranged for almost 2 years .His father and I divorced when he was 15 years old and that deeply affected him. I believe my prayers have been answered, he made a wise decision..found a good direction for his life..which he said."was going nowhere. fast".

Hello I noticed your Corgi, I have a Corgi as well, his name is Orbit and he is 3 years old. My sone started boot camp a week tommorrow and I had another go to job Corps last tuesday, I still have a 132 year old son at home but it is still hard.
