Hi Cindi,
I'm doing well. Hope you are too. How's Pake doing? Things have been nuts around here. My mom is in the hospital so I'm super busy these days. Did you have a nice holiday weekend? Have a great week :) Take care , talk to you soon.

Rec'd an e-mail from Katie tonight and she said "By the way Reddit, wanted me to tell you Thank You for the card. It was really great to get a card for his birthday." Obviously they have met.

Katie is glad to be done with her 'cranking duty' - no more officer laundry. Now she is in her 'shop'.

Cindi,
I'm not sure about phone cards shipboard. Jamie usually calls when he's in port. He did, however, call one time when they were at sea (during his sister's wedding rehearsal dinner) but we set that up through the command master chief (who is now gone) so I'm not sure if they can just call "at will."
I forgot to mention: he needs a passport. It's for when he's not on "official" Navy duty (coming home to visit, for instance). No one told me that...
Good luck and keep in touch!

We dont know yet, if his orders fall through he would have to pick over again or have them picked for him and then he could go anywhere. They said he could be on hold for up to a year. :( ridiculous. It is hard to say goodbye but I still think its better to get to spend some time with them then not at all. Even though its hard on you isnt it better that he is happy and excited? I think it would be even worse if he was dreading it and you knew he had to go. I dont think its being a cry baby to miss your baby. I miss Matt every day too. It is an adjustment for sure. I guess we have to appreciate the time we have with them all the more because we know they will have to leave again. Hang in there, we can support one another through the tough spots. Lets talk again soon. Tell Pake we wish him all the best.

HI , Ive been thinking about you lately. Matt is stuck on hold and has one week to get to North Carolina where he is supposed to be stationed or his orders will be voided and he will have to start all over. He is really frustrated with the whole thing. He was asking after Pake not too long ago, tell him Matt said hi. I would be sad to have him so far away too. Has he been home on leave ? Will you go to Japan to visit? Keep in touch and let me know how your doing.

Cindi that is great. My son is on the Bush which is homeported in Norfolk, Virginia. My son wanted orders to Japan though.

LOL, I have stock in that company too thanks to Matt. I hope Pake gets stationed someplace where you won't worry overmuch because we always worry no matter where they are.

LOL, the music thing is cute. At least he put some thought into what he got. Matt wants one too. He wants to get something related to his field but not hte same as everyone else's . Maybe he will just end up not getting one, or I can hope. I guess if he does, like you I wont fuss much since he is putting real thought into it. I know Matt cant wait to be done so I can just imaging how Pake feels waiting to finish school. I'm gald he is doing well there though. When will you get to see him again? Matt will be 12 hours away when he gets to NC so we will get to visit him more often. I am looking forward to that. When Pake gets orders let me know where he's going.

Hey,
How are you? It's good to hear from you. Matt is graduating from A school next friday and going to Cherry Point NC to work in the hospital there. I cant wait to see him at graduation. He is doing his clinicals this week and loves it. How much longer will Pake be at school? I bet he cant wait to be done too. Keep in touch and let me know how things are going with you.
