Oh Colleen, I am so sorry! Your son should be proud of what he was willing to do for his country. What a shame. My thoughts are with you.

Colleen, I am so sorry to hear about your sons shoulder. Maybe it is not as bad as you think. Hopefully he can rehab there and continue on with Boot Camp.
Let us know how things are. My thoughts are with you and your son.

Hi, It's been 2 weeks now. I got Jeremys form letter and then 2 full letters. He sounded great. His letters were so funny explaining things to us. Have you heard from your son? Is he doing well? What Div is he in? Jeremy is in Div 907. talk to you soon

Hi Colleen, It appears that we will have to wait until at least New Years day. If I counted right(My mind has been mush these last few days) 8 weeks will be that day. It surprises me that they do things on the holidays but whatever day graduation turns out to be I will be there!!!! I feel so bad that he is missing Thanksgiving and Christmas but there is nothing I can do about it. At least with all that goes into getting ready for the holidays it may make the time go faster until graduation when we can see our boys(Men). I have been waking up
at 4 in the morning and thinking those poor kids are already up and dressed and here I am sleeping in my comfortable bed. I almost feel guilty about it. I have to keep telling myself that this is what he wanted and just hope that he is happy with his decision. I know once boot camp is over it will get a little easier on them and at least we will be able to communicate more. At least I hope that is the case. My sons name is Chris.

I'm not sure which one was Doug we looked at all the name tags but didn't see a Gerald(which would be the one they used) did he leave from Harrisburg? There were 7 young men and one 37 yr old leaving. He called aroung 9:00 pm he was sooo tired you can hear it in his voice. He said it wasn't so bad so far as long as you did what you were told & how you were told it was no problem(still hope hat's the case). I miss him terrrible, I just want to call and say are you okay are they treating you nice(lol)I know that's a ittle crazy but they are still our little boys.

only a short note on the form letter. for some reason we never got the call. I'm so happy that you did. I would like to tell you to be really for "the box" but you can be. It will come Fed Ex in about 3 days. I'm glad you have your voice mail from him. May it help you until you next hear his voice.

Hi Colleen, I'm back home know! What an emotional day. We left Jeremy at 11:00 his flight was at 2:30 and they landed 2 hours later. He took his phone so he called me when the plane landed. He was so tired and so am I. Did you here from Doug yet? I haven't heard from him saying he got to Great Lakes yet. I know they went to eat at the airport before they left for Boot Camp

hi Colleen, I live in allentown. I know what you mean with your son saying "last time" for everything. Joshua did the same thing until i begged him to stop. He went in on 10/28 and is Div 38 Uss Kearsarge. Hang in there. It is rough but we have to leave our babies go to became men.
