I had an idea...going to have a NEW "US NAVY MOM" hoodie made to wear that day. Since I have lost 40 lbs (woohoo!!!), my other one is kind of big! I get them made at Jamies...cost is about $15. Anyone else who may want one, let me know. Think I am...

- Was concerned or afraid
- From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
- My daughter just shipped yesterday for boot camp at Great Lakes and it was one of the hardest days of my life. But I had to stay strong for HER, because she is fulfilling a dream she has talked about for so long. Her favorite saying is "Head Up", so heads up it is...for her!!!
- Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
- It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Everything going well with Angie? It certainly is a lot easier to keep in touch with Jon now. He just phased up to three, and started his classes this past week. He seems to be getting into dancing lately. That makes me laugh, being he always had a hard time loosening up.

- Hi Connie, You guys got a letter? Woohoo. I think he misses everyone. He seems very upbeat and says he actually likes the military. Of course after the first few weeks are passed now. He mentioned they're getting ready for Battlestations at around the 15th. On the 20th the five of us will be heading to GL. At least we'll be able to see him for the weekend. He has to be in CA on the 26th.
How's Angi doing? Hope everything is going well for her. She's the one that got Jon thinking about this, right? Haha

Nice to hear from you. Boy, I guess you have been busy. Just a travelin all over. I'm sorry that Angi isn't doing well. I hope it is something that passes/resolves quickly. Jon is doing pretty good. Has had some challenges, but things are now falling into place. We received a phone call last Tues., sounded wonderful to hear his voice. Call when you get a chance.

Karen - Proud Mom of Amber said… - Connie they are on there now. Thank you so much for getting Amber on stage. Good byes are not easy. Is she in Norfolk? We live close to VA but clear on the other end. I live in TN but work in VA. I am glad that she is able to have a car. I know Amber spent a lot of money on cabs in GL. Amber signs in to the reserve unit tomorrow, so we will know what is in store with her. keep in touch and let me know how Angie is doing in C school. And again thank you so much for taking pictures of Amber.

- The pictures probably will show up after they have been approved. Thank you so much. You will need to read on corpsmen a school our adventure when she got home. LOL. I am so glad that you got to go. We need to keep in touch. Congrats to Angie on becoming a Corpsmen. That is such a great accomplishment.
