About me:
I believe in the power of prayer and hope you'll pray for my son through this challenging time. I am so proud of his decision and support him in everyway. I'm here to learn about all he is involved in and can't wait to see him for graduation week.
I am here to support or represent my:
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
How proud that my son wold actually be one who would honor and defend our nation. His decision is awesome and even though I hate for him to be away I know he will return to me as a disciplined young man with direction and a future.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

First phone call home was a great surprise.

When I first answered I said, "is this Cameron?" I coouldn't believe it was actually him I asked how long he could talk and he said an hour. He said they had taken a test and if they got a perfect score of 5.0 then they'd be rewarded with phone calls. He said they made a 4.99 and it was the best score ever. The RCS's are trying to push them to make it into the hall of fame. I hope every division that day gets to graduate in the hall of fame. He also said they could get to graduate early, too. No… Continue

Hi Sweet D, was reading on the SEAL Moms Group and got curious about the SWCC Group discussion, Joyce is a good friend of mine. Thought I'd give you a tip or two about keeping track of discussions and members. First, don't post your private e-mail anywhere on the public forum. The less traceable info out there the better, especially since your son is Spec Opps. You should make a friend request of "dn", and any other SWCC Moms, so you have the option of sharing things privately through PMs if you need to in the future.

Also, you've probably noticed that when you join in a new discussion, you will automatically be notified in your e-mail if someone posts a new comment. Then you just click on that and it takes you right back, so you don't have to try to find it again. :) You can click "stop following" on any discussion when you no longer want to receive those notifications. Finally, in light of your profile, I thought you might appreciate knowing about this Group too:

God Bless, all the best to your sailor to be and take care! Welcome Aboard N4Ms. :-)

I read that you have not purchased your tickets yet. I did Thursday night and found that if you purchase your tickets one way and then back separtely it came out to be almost 100.00 cheaper. Also we are flying into Milwaukee that is 44 miles from the Great Lakes and O'hare is about 30 mile. If you plan on renting a car this might be an option. Just thought this might help.

Hi Dawn, My son Jess is in 839. I was very glad to get my first call today, then the first real letter when I got home.My best day ever! He sounded mostly positive. He said the best part was making friends and someone mentioned their mom also on this site. Wonder if it was your son? Jess is signed up for diving. Their division also has seals so I bet is is tougher. Don't know yet where we're staying. I'll be flying in from Florida and still figuring out who else will go. Where do you live? Look forward to staying in touch, Nancy

My son has been gone now since 6-23 and oh how I miss him. He sent his address but his return address is different. Does anyone know which is correct? Also, his first letter home was horrible, very negative and sad. I'm sure he's just home sick and know he'll make some friends though and things should be better by the time I get his next letter. I just hope he doesn't quit! He's in Navy SWCC boot cmp and it is suppossedl harder. I'd appreciate info on the best place to stay there in Great Lakes that is closest to the Navy Base?
