Thanks. Thats what I was thinking, maybe something cherrie. Not anything
to stare at and get homesick. Another mom said to print them off on computer
and put 8 or 10 on one sheet, easier to store.

My son was grad and go and I had 45 minutes with him before he left to go to Pensacola Florida. He graduaded on 7/17. We live in Savannah Ga so it was quite expensive for us but well worth it!! I would do it again in a heartbeat!!! The whole experience is priceless. She will miss you if you are not there. There will be sooooo many families there with loved ones and it is an overwhelming time. I hope you can make the trip. It will be worth the struggle to go. I promise. We have 3 other children. We couldn't afford for everyone to go so my husband and I just went. We are planning a family weekend vacation in Florida as soon as Kyle gets weekend liberty. If you can find a way to go you won't be sorry.

I saw the comment you wrote on your wall below. My daughter was also grad n go to Pensacola & we spent 45 min w/ her after PIR. We then drove to Midway airport, about an hr away, where we met her at the ticket counter (she has to be with you) & got gate passes to go through security. We were able to spend an additional 3 hrs w/ her until her flight left. PIR is the greatest & you won't be disappointed making this trip even if you'll only get to spend a few hrs w/ your daughter. The pride & joy you'll feel when you see your daughter w/ her division as they march into that drill hall will make it all worth it.

P.S. Come join our group, Navy Mom's of Daughter's.

Hi, welcome to Navy for Mom's:)) You will find a lot of answers, support and encouragement here. My daughter, Ashley (20), has been in the Navy for 2 years and is an IT3 & my future son-in-law Tim has been in since Feb 2008 stationed on the USS Nimitz. What will your son/daughter be doing with the Navy? If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm glad you joined and look forward to hearing more about you & your recruit. Pat

I did great all day until it was time to tell her goodbye and drop her back off at the base and then i just shut down. Cried and cried. Not sure really why but i did. She was just a different person with focus and guidence and a sense of wanting to be something in life. SHe had goals and spoke only of good. I was just amazed at what she had learn… Continue

Daughter Wants us to bring her Cell Phone to the Airport?

Does anyone know if she can have her Cell phone when she Goes to A school or do we need to send it to her. She is wanting to know if she can bring it with her or does it need to be sent. She does not want to get in trouble for having it so she is asking if i find out.

WHAT DO YOU WEAR TO GRADUATION? DRESS UP? DRESS CASUAL? DECISIONS?

I was wondering what do people gernerally wear to something like this. We will be arriving very early so i am not sure what to wear. And also depending on the wheather. is it okay to weat Jeans and dress shoes, or does it nead to be dressed up? I am just wondering cause i have never been to anything like this and i am really unsure as to what i am suppose to wear. Looks like i might have a shopping day in store for me!
