LOVE this photo!!! I remember at my son's graduation (6-26), how my heart was pounding when that door went up and we saw those sailors ready to march in! They look GREAT!
We are leaving at noon today. Going to spend the night at my brother's house in KY then in the moring we are headed to Chicago. OMG!!!! I can hardley wait to hug my Sailor along with the rest of N4M's. Congrats to all who have recieved their call....

- Mitzi: It's so good to hear from you. Good news about DJ. I'm sure he's happy to be out of school and on duty. Tyler is still in Great Lakes in Gunners Mate A-school. He should finish in January, then he'll be off to C-school, not sure where yet. He's thinking about going into the Riverines. They're asking for volunteers for that now. I know about missing them. Tyler won't be home for Thanksgiving. He'll be home Dec 18th for 17 days, then back to GL to finish school. Do you think DJ will be home for Christmas? I think we'll always miss them and they will always be our babies. You take care and I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving.

- Mitzi: When did he call? I've not had a call since 7/08/09. I looked up PD and I got not definitions. Could it be PT? I know the PFA was Friday. I still don't know if Tyler passed PFA or not. I know one mom said her daughter called Saturday and said she did not pass PFA, because of sprained ankle, and would not graduate this week. I'm sure DJ will pass whatever that is. I'm still on edge about Tyler. Would like to know before I leave for GL. Take care.

- Mitzi, Glad you got another all. I have not received a call in about 2 weeks. Tyler has been writing regularly. He said they passed their 2 big inspections. He also said his rack was inspected by the SecNav when he was there and the news crew took pictures of it. He seems upbeat and ready for boot camp to be thru. I've been gone to the beach for the last 4 days and have been out of touch. Hope you have a good week with more calls!

- I hate that he lost his sign on bonus. Tyler wanted to be a Gunner's Mate. Then after 3 months in DEP he wanted to change to Seabee. They couldn't get that change done, so now he will stay as Gunner's Mate. Recruiter told him he might could change to Seabee after 2 years. Seabee school is one of the overbooked jobs right now. I think Tyler's happy he stayed Gunners Mate. He enjoys all kinds of weapons. Hope things work out for DJ.

- Tyler will be in Great Lakes for his A School. Where will your son be? I live in McComb, MS about 1 1/2 hours from Gulfport and about 3 hours from Meridian.
