- I know the site says Navy and for Moms, but I was told there were many other people on here, and I could definitely use support from others that are in similar situations as I am. My husband just finished Advanced training in the Army and will be heading to Korea for a year :-( We have a son that is 17 months old.

MY NAME IS DONNA AND I HAVE 2 SONS IN THE NAVY AND ALSO A SON-IN-LAW IN THE ARMY. WE ARE GLAD THAT YOU JOINED OUT SITE AND ANYTIME YOU NEED SOMETHING ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ASK AND THERE ARE A LOT OF WONDERFUL PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT WILL TRY TO HELP IN ANY WAY WE CAN. If you click on "Groups," at the top of this page, you'll be taken to the massive list of communities of folks that have something in common. On that page, there's a search box ("Search in Groups"). Type in "wives" and hit search. You'll get a list of all the groups for wives here. They'll be happy to have you join them and they'll be great support for you! My step-dad was in the 17th Engineering Battalion out of Ft. Hood... you're family here; just a military cousin!!
My son, Jonathan is a new recruit in the Navy. He completed boot camp and has started A school. This sight was very informative to me because there is not much communication when you go to boot camp. These moms gave me great advice on everything from pictures etc... welcome and I know you will get as much peace of mind from this support as I have
I am not a mom of a sailor either but I am an adopted mom for many young sailors out there. Support is always welcomed from this site.
