Dear Danielle,
So good to hear from you. I wish Chase all the best in NUKE school.
How does he like the Navy so far?
Wasn't that graduation ceremony fantastic!!!
It's hard to beleive it's almost a year now. This time last year we were bitting our nails over Battlestation, remember! HAHA!! In fact, wasn't it today's date, June 4,2008?

How have you been?. It was a slow day today, so I thought of checking out our old group. Do you know we are the only two that kept writting after graduation. I love it here, I am writting everyday for a full year now.! HAHA!

I have also been in two parades with some New York Navy moms.

Kim is doing well, but bored. She is stationed on the USS Normandy but it is docked in Virginia since she started there, back in November. She can't wait until it sails off she's hoping to see some countries.

Somewhere on the computer, must have been YouTube, she looked up her ships last Deployment. It returned a few days before she started. They went to see quite a few countries in Europe. She said from the video, many of the Sailors she knows!! HAHA!

Out of boredom, she bought a car, and has driven home a few times. I love seeing her, but my heart is in my throat when she drives up. It's a 7 hour car ride.
I'll let you get going. I do hope to hear from you again. I'm always around here! HAHA!
Take care and God bless,
Barbara

I hope you do write.

Barbara

Danielle, Yes we were just at the Feb 13th graduation. I do not know if it was like PIR as my son was Grad and Go, so we met him in Charleston. He did get me the DVD and it looks to me that the PIR has bit more pomp and circumstance to it. Power School...we got there a bit early, got to talk with him for about 15 - 20 mins. Then they all had to muster and get ready. The Admiral spoke for about 20 mins and then they started with the officers and then went by section. Be sure to grab a program so that you know when your sailor will be coming up. They encouraged everyone to come up to the stairs to get good pictures. When my son got to the Admiral his Dad yelled his name and the Admiral told him to turn and get a good picture. It was very nice. The day was beautiful! After the ceremony we got to walk around and go over near their lving quarters, altho we are not allowed to go past the walkways. No but them is allowed in their rooms. You can check out the pics on my page to get a bit of an idea.
When does your Sailor graduate? Good luck to him. I hope you have a good time at graduation.

Hi there. I am going to delete that discussion, but I copied Steph comments to the other one so there would be only one. You haven't been on for a while and it is great to have you back.

Does your sailor have Thanksgiving Day plans? I'm sure we can fit one more in when we go down to Goose Creek next weekend?

Hi Danielle,
How are you doing these days? How is Chase? I haven't heard from you in awhile. As for Dillon he is great! They still haven't started his actual schooling yet, but he is learning the ropes in Penacola. So is Chase here in Charleston SC? Have you gotten to see him since he has been at his A school? Does he know where he will be stationed? Well I look forwared to hearing from you soon. Have a Blessed Day!
