Profile Information

About me:
I am BigSis, the much older sister of a US Navy Sailor. I have the honor of being Sister, confidante and coach lol. It has been a great ride so far watching him grow up, helping him learn and now being his cheerleader as he begins the journey of a lifetime.

He enterd the Navy 6 months ago with the dream of being a SEAL .We have decided that this was not God's plan for him at this time. Now he has sets his sights on Aviation Machinist....I have always supported this goal and will continue to. But I think if my pride in him grows much more I will bust!! lol
I am here to support or represent my:
Other relative
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
to support him no matter what. To tell him often how proud I am of what he is doing and that no matter what happens in the end that pride will never falter. And that i miss him ALOT more than I thought was ever possible.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

I think that orders for Hawaii are few and far between. It is kinda unusaul to get orders for there.Joseph did good in school and was in the right place at the right time. I just know that when he first started A school, he decided to concentrate onthe plane he wanted to work on instead of the "place". Working on Orions will assure thet he will never have ship duty cause they are too big to land on ships. I do not know "where" in particular the Orion planes are, Joseph just wanted to work on that plane, just happened that they needed someone in Hawaii!!

Hi. My name is Jill. My son is in SD right now waiting for eye surgery. He was originally in 276 but just training right now. Not sure when he will have surgery but he is pretty sure that he will not be next class 277 but will join 278. So he will be with your group. We are in SD now visiting. The town is so excited and proud of the SEALS and their amazing rescue. Keep in touch.

Thanks so much for the information. I will definitely pass it on to him. I don't think he has had them as much for he is not training as hard anymore. We will see. But I definitely appreciate the info.
Take care!
