I asked my son the morning they left if he knew of a new EN and he said yes. We were hoping that is your son (but I don't have a name!). My son, Matthew, was talking with me the morning they left (it is his first deployment also and it is tough!), but he said that your son was standing right near him with a smile on his face! Hoping he had the right sailor :-)
