I am glad you told me about seeing the pictures. We can see what she looks like before we see her! I told her unless she wanted a picture with someone that was a grad n go then we could get pictures later with her friends. But I know that she is looking forward to getting out for a bit.

How much of a wait is there after PIR that we can finally leave? I know they have to go back to their ships first right? I know we will be hungry by that time. I am going to take a few snacks to hold us over.
I always lock my car. Plus it has an alarm system.

I wondered about what they drink at meals. Us silly moms wondering about the crazy things. We mostly drink water and milk. I have not bought pop in about 3 years. But we do like a good glass of sweet tea every so often. The train ride is only $2.15 each way. I am sure that Saturday the road to Chicago is busy. Plus you don't have to find a place to park and pay for it. I have my GPS ready. I am thinking of being at the gate at 5:30am.

Almost packed. I threw a few things in this morning. I want to go by a fast food place here called Pal's and get a gallon of sweet tea. Amber did not ask for it but I know that she likes it and we do too! They have to be on pins and needles. I am hoping they don't have watch. I would like to take the train Saturday to the Navy Pier. That is the only thing that I really want to do.

About me:
I am the proud mom of two wonderful children. We have three (3) dogs, one outside, two inside and one (inside) cat---all of which are extremely spoiled.
I am here to support or represent my:
Child/Stepchild
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Letting go is the hardest part----an I cry...ALOT! Patience truly is a virtue and an experience!

It's (now) still hard to "let go" and let him handle things on his own--I want to still be mom and come in "rescue" him sometimes--I am having to learn to step back and let him make his own decisions, handle his own problems and just learn to "wait" and "be there" if/when he needs me!! Being a mom is sure tough work--especially as they get older! But, I love the changes I hear and "see" in him!!! Makes me so proud to see him and the way God is changing him every day!
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
