Hi Debra, isn't it great to be home? I have enjoyed my time with Michael so very much. I have no idea how I am going to say goodbye to him again. He leaves on Friday and I am already feeling the emotions!!! Darn I wish I wasn't such a girl. Hey no big deal about Tues. night, assumed he didn't need the computer. It was so nice to meet you guys. I love down to earth people! Take care and keep in touch.

Hi Debra,
Thanks for the message. My son Shane is in Div 042. I did send a message to Jamie that my husband and I would love to attend the event at Flanagans on 12/23, but I haven't heard back. I missed the deadline by 1 day, so I hope we'll be able to attend. My son is going to A school in Pensacola for IT. We look forward to meeting you. I'm trying to get all this "winter clothes" thing in check. We don't have much of that living here in Florida, transplanted from Hawaii, so we really didn't have winter clothes. This trip should be an adventure, a bunch of Hawaiians in the snow, oh boy I can't wait.

Yup we head out Saturday- its hard to believe its only a week away. Iam doing laundry and stuff now. I dont plan on actually packing till Friday though. My daughter turns 13 on Monday, so she is doing good- we werent able to throw her a party this year due to money for trip. But, she got to have some friends spend the night and I took them to the movies and out to lunch.

Oh thanks for the info on the seating! I am glad that we will be able to sit with the division.. well near our sailor ! also thanks for the encouragement. It was a tough decision to make having little ones, but I think that in the end we would have regreted not living the military life! We'll see where the future takes us :)

Thanks Debra...I actually got a letter from Andy yesterday and he said he knows Britt and they have talked about us. He also told me he was sick with a temp of 102.4 and they had him on bedrest for two days, I hope that won't affect his PIR date. I have sent him a letter about his travel plans but no response so I don't know what he did and they are supposed to be final by 12/8 so I am stressed about this. Hopefully it has been taken care of, I have been getting no where calling the PA office

From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
I'm not really a new Navy mom.....my son joined in '93 and my husband retired in '06 after 20 years of service. So, I've been around the Navy for some time.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made
