When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
This was his decision, and I had to support him, no matter how much I wanted to keep him at home forever.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:

If its any consolation, I am right there with you. I promise. Right there. Long, long story. I go to Conroe this week-end to see my brother and ONE of his army sons. They like nothing better than to put my son down and the Navy. However, I have another brother who was a Navy Lifer & he's in Florida. I call him to cry on his shoulder.....

I'm so glad you're okay and that you left! We stayed and it was pretty creepy hearing all that wind howling through the house. We have been without power and phone service for the past 5 days but it's back on now. Slowly but surely we are returning to normal. We haven't been back to work yet as all of our places of employment still remain without power and have suffered damage. We are hopeful they will remedy those situations soon as well. Take care, glad you're safe.

Hi Dena,
Get out of town! You don't need to be in that basement if it floods!
Stay safe! Karen

Hi Dena, It is alot easier now even though I don't get to see him I still get to talk to him everyday. He is still in GL right now. He thinks he will finish this school Aug. 22nd, but not exactly sure when they will leave for Penscola. He hopes that when he gets down there he can fly home and see everybody and go back in his car. Probably won't get to stay but for a weekend but it will be better than nothing. He's been wanting to come home says he is homesick and just wants to see home and all his friends and family in person, even though he gets to talk to us. He is doing good in school, he has been taking some after school classes so he will not get behind. He said his classes are pretty hard and complicated. It is alot of wiring and electricity, they have to find the shorted out places on the circuit boards and stuff like that, but he says he likes it. He had watch this weekend so they didn'get to leave the base. He was going to go to some more classes in his spare time. We have been helping some of our friends remodel an old house so we've been busy just about every night with that so I don't get to stay on here near as much as I was in fact I guess I need to go so I can get ready and go help them this afternoon, talk to you later.

Dena, I talked to Kurt last night and he said Josh has a different Caption than they do, so it did'nt affect them. I know you and Josh are glad or at least Josh anyway. You'll probably be at home worried, but I would too. lol When Kurt and some more guys went to the mall last weekend I was worried too. I guess they think they are grown now. lol I guess no matter how old they get we will still worry. Man, kids, you want them to be adults but it sure is hard letting go of them. Well I better quit talking I'll have me and you crying.lol
