Profile Information

About me:
I am the mom of a Submarnier- Nuke Electrician. I am also the wife of a retired Submariner- Nuke Electrian. I have two other children that are not in the Navy. I remeber the years as a Navy Wife with great fondness. It is a change being the mom of a sailor. I also am the adopted mom of a Sailor.
I am here to support or represent my:
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
It is an honor to serve. I am proud of all of my family that has chosen to serve our country in the Navy. The descision is not one to be taken lightly. What ever field you chose go with something that interstes you . That will make the whole experince better.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Hi Denise, thanks for the Girl Scout cookie info ...usually I have a freezer full of Thin Mints (I have to "hide" them from myself or they'd be gone in a day) and I have to confess, I miss not having any young Scouts left in the neighborhood going door to door anymore. When my son played ice hockey, there was always a table out front in the rinks with kids selling the cookies.

I see you have adjusted to being a part of the Navy family. I want to send you a belated thank you for the friend request. I have not resolve some minor difficulty with my N4M "addressbook" When I select multiple recipients, the friends who receive my message are not always the names I had selected. Typically, private messages are use for communicating issues that are more personal in nature, so for now I am adding friends only when someone is in need. You find me on a daily basis in the Safe Harbor & New Moms Stop Here group . Please join if you haven’t and we talk there. BunkerBee
P.S. We are both on the Sub Moms and Nuke Moms. I visit those groups often too.

Hi Denise, Thank you for the friend request. My sailor will finish Prototype the end of July. He has volunteered for subs so I joined sub moms to start educating myself! We will probably find out the end of June where he is going and which boat he will be assigned to. Then I bet I'll have a bunch of questions!!!! Glad to have a "go-to" mom as a friend. Pat

Wow the slide show is good. I wish I had the brains to know how to do things like this on the computer...Is the baby your grandbaby? Or is this pictures of when your son was a baby? Is that his wife? Love the picture with the baby and the flag....
