Nathan is stationed in the Atsugi Base. He was there two weeks in August, and then flew to San Diego, CA to leave on the USS George Washington back to Yokosuko, Japan. They spent one week there, then left for South Korea and Guam, and have just arrived back in Yokosuko on Nov. 21. So, he has really been in Atsugi about 3 or 4 weeks total. He is finally leaving the Base on his days off to go to town. He did say he likes being on land better than on the ship. He used to call us on Skype, through his Internet, and we could talk that way, through our computers. We could even see each other on the webcam. Now the his computer screen broke, he calls us now from his pre-paid cell phone. Where in Japan is your son going?
I'm heading out on Wednesday, over to CA and up to the Bay Area - I'll be meeting Lisa on Saturday - hooray:)! I had such a good time with all the NFM's here last weekend, and I'll be visiting my parents and family soon. I really don't have a 'regular' routine anymore and don't want one either - LOL:)!
I'm glad to hear from you . . . when I get back home I'd like to really 'catch up' with what's going on . . . GIANT HUGS to you:)!

Yes Greg has mentioned a couple of the guys, he doesn't say much except what they have done as far as training. He is always full of questions about Jamie. We are waiting also to see how it goes, We are going to see what Greg wants to do with Jamie of course since his time is so limited. But that sounds great if time allows. Our hotel says waukwgan /gurnee so it is probly on the line of the two it is 5 miles from the base. The drive is something we are not looking forward too, we just returned from Kentucky on the 27th of June. We had gone up for a week for my fatherinlaws initial openheart surgery for valve replacement and a bypass. but he is doing much better and should go home today or tuesday.
Hopefully Jamie will enjoy the ride, a 2 year old in a car for two days, oh boy!
We got a call from Greg around 7 last night, he was getting ready for watch. He is really excited that it's over and he did it. He had watch at 8 so we only talked about 20 minutes but thats the most we have talked since he left.
We are staying at the Marriot hopefully we will arrive early in the day on the 10th but we are making a stop in Kentucky to check on my father in-law. he just had open heart surgery last week followed by a pacemaker placement. Is Cory going to school in Pensacola also?
Won't it be great to get to hug them and see them in person. It's funny how quickly us Mom's can forget that they were probly driving us crazy before they left to be sailors.
Greg said the capping was cool and they all had a good time out to eat and playing pool after battlesstations. they weren't to happy that they couldn't go to fireworks. I'm going today to pick up shoes for his daughters sailor dress outfit we got her to wear to PIR. She cant wait to see her Daddy.
It's great talking to someone in Greg's division,Where will you be staying?
