Hi Diane,
My son is in Pensacola now. Waiting on his school to start on April 27. He is engaged now. And has been home twice. My parents did get to watch the video that we made of PIR. I thought my son ordered the DVD but he didn't, but did order the Keel (book). We got that on this past Saturday. I hope everything is okay with you.

Hi Diane,
Happy Easter!! Tim is doing well. He graduated from MA school on 3/27 as a Distinguished graduate, the PT Award and the Commanding Officers Challenge coin. He will be leaving for Norfolk, VA. late this afternoon. He bought himself a new (used) SUV while home on leave with his dad in Missouri and he'll be driving to Norfolk. He has been ready to leave for about a week now but his sponsor told him to wait until after this holiday weekend. He really misses his shipmates and his Navy way of life...I can totally relate to that feeling!! I'm doing good..thanks for asking!! :] I'm planning a trip to Norfolk over Memorial Day weekend to see Tim...he's only 6 hours away now.
How is John & where is he now?? Take care & talk to ya soon. :}

Hi Diane,
What do you do at the airport? We are from Perrysburg! Not too many people on here from Northwest Ohio! My husband and I will actually be flying out from Toledo on Mother's Day to Florida. We are not big fliers but I'm glad we are at least going out of Toledo!

Hi Diane, I haven't heard from you in awhile. Anything new or exciting happening in your life. I sent you an email to your other address. It has been awhile? Did you get it ? I work the next 4 days. I'm glad the snow and wind are finally gone for awhile. I am ready for spring. My son has written another letter. He is sick with a sore throat and congestion. He didn't say anything about boot camp, only that he will be going to Mississippi for schooling. Another son had wriiten home stating that his division was doing good....and my son is in his division. I feel like I am walking a tight rope waiting for PIR ! I hope you and all of your family are ok. Take care. Cathy

Diane, What nursing home is your father staying at? When they chose King and Queen at my facility on Valentines day...it was so cute. One of my favorite patients got voted Queen. She was so happy and cried ! She is also a retired nurse. A gentleman named Ivan was voted King. They made a nice looking couple. I enjoy working with the elderly. My mom passed away 11 years ago. She was only 64 years old. My real birth mom passed away at 60 yrs old from lung cancer..a smoker and diabetic. My father is 83 and lives with myhusband and I. Sometimes he drives me insane, but I know he is just lonely. We took him to Das Hessen Haus in Pettisville tonight for the chicken Buffet. We all like to go there on Tuesday nights. can;t beat the price. $5.95. I always work on Monday nights. The buffet is only $4.95 on mondays. I eat out alot. I hope all is well with your father. Proud to be a Navy Mom!

Whenever I hear the song the Navy band plays, "Anchors Away" or the song from Lee Greenwood, "I'm proud to be an American", I get terribly proud and tears come to my eyes!! It takes a lot of courage to become a part of the U.S.Navy. I could not be prouder of my son since he has joined the U.S. Navy! I hope its a good experience for all that join our U.S. Navy! I was a Navy wife for 16 years. We moved around the country. I made a lot of friends over the years that I still am in touch with today.… Continue
