About me:
I'm a third time Navy Mom. My son Eric was in for 4 years 2002 to 2006. Now my son Mathew is stationed in San Diego and working his way throw C-school . My youngest son, John started BC on March 11th. And has his PIR on 5/8/09. I'm very proud of my boys for serving there country. Yes I worry but very proud.
I am here to support or represent my:
Child/Stepchild
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
The Navy teaches them thing that I couldn't. Its a good life experience for them.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
Visit Navy For Moms "I am the Mother of two American Sailors" I give my complete and unwavering support to my Sailors. As my sons serves the people of The United States, so I humbly offer up my prayers for their safety and the safety and health of those they serves beside.
I respect their choice to adhere to a strict moral code and system of values that has preserved our great country for over two centuries. I accept that my Sailor’s first duty is to his country, and I understand that the sacrifice he willingly makes is what keeps our nation great. I will never expect anything but the best from my Sailors, for I know they are capable. I know that a Sailor’s heart is true and strong, and that my Sailor will endure.
I will never abandon my Sailors, my Sons, and my Heros. I will love them unconditionally. They will know I am there for them, even when they is alone. I am disciplined. I am emotionally and mentally tough. I am learning to wait for phone calls, and letters or emails home. Like my Sailors, I am an expert. I stand ready to do whatever I can to let my sons, my Sailors, know that we are here for them, beside them, and we love them.
I am the person who stood guardian of these men who have become my Sailors. They are now our guardians of freedom and the American way of life. I am the Mother of two American Sailor.

Hmm, what can I say? he's on the USS Blue Ridge and seeing lots of great ports, but not getting off the ship. ?? Hates going with a buddy that all they want to do is drink and go to strip clubs. He doesn't drink or smoke, etc, and is SO shy, it may take a while for him to find a port buddy... He loves his job (FC-CIWS) and they'll be going back to Yokosuka soon. I don't understand - he said he joined to see the world, but he's staying on the ship when they have liberty. Oh well, I have to let him live his life...

I was wondering if Mathew was done with his C school in San Diego and what he's up to now? That must have been a long time ago since John had BC in May.... Carol

Donna...Tim is just sitting in GL waiting for the word that he can go home. He is very ready to leave GL. He hasn't heard anything about when he has to report to Norfolk. It is still the hurry up and wait game! Thanks for asking.
