About me:

I am a stay at home mom from Oklahoma. My oldest son Coty (21) graduated from bootcamp 5/2, he is know in Meridian,MS for A-school!!!! I have 2 other boys at home Jacob,13, and Hunter is 5!

When I heard “Navy,” I:

Was concerned or afraid, Needed to learn more about it, Was proud, Encouraged him/her

From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:

I have learned that it takes alot of patience, prayer & love to be a Navy mom!!!! : )

Through this Navy experience, I now believe:

Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

He says his office is in a hanger for now. He likes his room and his roommate. He has a really big place with a living room and laundry room connected to it. He says he loves the food and everyone is nice. I am glad that he is happy. He and his girlfriend here are getting too close for my liking. I don't know what it is about these guys thinking they need to marry so young. Sometimes I think they are trying to preserve a little of home. I just hope he waits at least a year. I am happy that Coty is still doing well in Norfolk. I know he is a Yeoman, and all but what does he do exactly? How are Jacob and Hunter liking school so far this year? How are YOU doing? Tony is excited about Pendleton. He leaves tomorrow. We will be about a 9 hour drive from him but we have family down there thats about an hour away. Its not going to make saying good bye any easier. For the first 4 weeks I should be able to hear from him but once he starts the training on 10/13, its another boot camp so I wont hear from him for 2 months.

Is anyone from bootcamp in Norfolk with Coty? I am so happy to hear back from you and so happy to hear Coty is doing good.

He leaves on 9/12 for his assignment in Camp Pendleton. He will work in a hospital for a month before his FMTB class starts on 10/13.

At 5:20pm on August 1, 2008, Chris from Missouri said…: Got a letter yesterday. He is really considering not fighting it. Would help if I could talk to him. He's suppose to get calls on wednesdays and sundays but only called on sunday and we were not home and I didn't have my cell with me. I called ship 17 yesterday and legal today. Nothing. I emailed the ombudsman. Just waiting.
