Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Stay in touch with the recruiter. Stay in shape and study your DEP book.
Stay in touch with other moms, wives, aunts, sisters, girlfriends with this website.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

If you have a son/daughter that has shipped or will ship in November please join this group. We can support each other. Give each other ideas on how to cope and let each other know when packages, graduation info and first letters start to arrive.

My daughter Kayla, shipped from Fort Hamilton in NY on Tuesday, November 3. I know the… Continue

We both beamed with pride.

It really hit me last night when my husband turned off the back light. No one was coming home later. WOW! That j… Continue

MEPS completion

One week ago today my daughter was sworn in at MEPS in Tampa. What a long day that was. I drove up and met her around noon time. She was exhausted. All he did was throw a bunch of job description cards at her. She decided she wanted Mastor at Arms. The ship off date was out to March 2010. I told him that was not going to work (she's 17 so I was able to s… Continue
