You're welcome. Yea if you move y'all stuff yourself them the Navy will reimburse you. I'm not too sure on how to go about that but i'll ask my hubby tomorrow. Even if you have the Navy move you they'll pay you for moving yourself up here. Which is what happened with us.. They give you a pretty good amount.

Okay, first off your hubby wont be able to move in with you right away. He has to get his live ashore packet approved and that can take a month or month1/2 depending on how long it takes for him to get all his paperwork signed. & you wont get Great Lakes BAH untill he get that packet approved.
I have heard mixed things about Waukegan also. Some say it's really bad and some say its not. I guess it all depends on there in Waukegan. I think a friend of mine used to live in those apartments when she was here. She never had any conplaints.. but I can't say too much b/c i've never seen them. Sorry.
The Navy will pay for your move but you'll have to get POA b/c you need to sign over his belongings to the movers. So i'm not too sure if you can just move and get y'alls things later. To get us up here my hubby had to go talk to his PLR so that he can go to a class where they tell him what movers are in your area. In this class he'll get a number for the movers then have to give it to you so you can call and set up an appointment to have y'alls belongings surveyed and packed. You'll have to be at the house where your belongings are so you can sign them over.
If he went in as and E-2 he'll get paid as an E-2. Plus y'all get alittle more b/c y'all are married.
So hopefully I answered everything!! & I hope it all makes sense!! Let me know if I missed anything =)
